
2025 Urban Golf Shootout Rules

RCGA rules of golf will govern play with the following local rules in effect
Male Competitors under 65 - Blue Tees
Male Competitors 65 and over - White Tees
Abnormal course conditions:
The following areas are deemed as abnormal course conditions:
- Any areas marked by White Paint or roped off as G.U.R.
- If a ball comes to rest within a marked area, or you are standing in a marked area, relief
must be taken by finding the nearest point no nearer the hole. - A ball touching a tree root (visible above ground), relief may occur within one club length.
Please make sure you confirm relief with the player scoring your round.
- If there is any doubt whether you are in an abnormal course condition area, you have the option of playing 2 balls and requesting a rules confirmation following play.
Local Rule: Protection from Tree Roots
- When a ball is at rest on or within a clearly visible tree root and the tree root interferes with the players intended swing path.
free relief is available.
- The Player must determine the nearest point of complete relief where the interference no longer exists and is no nearer the hole.
- The ball must be placed on this point.
Note: Relief is only available for interference to the swing and not for stance unless the Committee specifies otherwise.
Bunkers:
Casual Water in bunkers: May take relief by placing within the bunker, no nearer to the hole.
Immovable obstructions:
- The clubhouse, patio, pro shop bldg., cart storage area and practice putting green are considered immovable obstructions.
- Relief maybe taken to the nearest marked area (drop zone).
- Control boxes and the pumphouse are immovable instructions, you may take relief from stance
and swing, no nearer to the hole. You may not take relief for line of flight. - The lakes on #3, #5, and #12 are penalty areas. The margins of the penalty areas are defined by red lines and/or red stakes.
Out of Bounds:
All areas outside the boundary fence of the course are out of bounds. All areas inside that edge are in bounds.
Severe Weather Warning
ONE SIREN BLAST – leave course immediately (or seek nearest shelter)
TWO SIREN BLASTS – resume play.
