FIELD LIMIT
Field will be limited to 24 Players. At the close of entry, the field of 24 will be filled by the lowest USGA Handicap Indexes and Golf Canada Handicap Factors in addition to exempt players and Presidential Invitees. This championship runs concurrently with the PNGA Men’s Mid-Amateur, which has a field limit of 66. The PNGA reserves the right to modify either field limit to achieve a full field of 90 players.
ENTRY DEADLINE
Entry applications, along with the appropriate fee, must be completed or received by the PNGA by
12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
REFUND POLICY
Refunds due to cancellation before the close of entry are subject to a $10 service charge. After the close of entry and up until round one pairings are released, players who withdraw for any reason will be refunded 50% of the entry fee. No refund for any reason will be issued after round one parings have been released.
COURSE YARDAGE
Course yardage is subject to change based on weather/course conditions. Hole-by-hole yardages are posted on the championship portal and will be emailed to players.

ONSITE REGISTRATION
All contestants must register in person with the PNGA at Apple Tree Resort prior to starting round one play. Registration will be located outside the golf shop during the following times:
MONDAY, AUGUST 25: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
TUESDAY, AUGUST 26: 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS
Round one and two starting times will be released at least one week prior. Round three starting times will be based on 36-hole scores. Preferred starting time requests will not be accepted. Starting times will be posted on the PNGA website (thepnga.org), on the championship portal, and will be emailed to players.
SCHEDULE
54-hole stroke play (gross only). In the event of a tie for the championship, a hole-by-hole playoff will be held immediately following play to determine the winner.
TUESDAY, AUGUST 26 Starting times off the #1 tee from 7:30 a.m. – 8:10 a.m.
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 27 Starting times off the #1 tee from 11:50 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 28 Starting times off the #1 tee from 7:30 a.m. – 8:10 a.m.
PRACTICE ROUNDS
Contestants may play one complimentary practice round prior to the championship. Practice rounds will be available between 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25 for out-of-town contestants. Local contestants can call the golf shop to inquire regarding practice round availability on weekdays in the two weeks prior. All practice round starting times are at the discretion of the golf shop staff. Tee times can be made by calling the Apple Tree golf shop at (509) 966-5877, beginning August 6 after the entries have closed and the field is set.
FOOD SERVICE (NO-HOST)
Food service will be available in the Restaurant from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. throughout the week. Full breakfast will be available in the morning with lunch service starting at 11:00 a.m. Grab and go items will be available at the snack window when players are making the turn.
BOTTLED WATER
The PNGA will provide bottled water during the championship. Coolers will be at multiple locations on the golf course. A beverage cart will not be on the course during play.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
All major credit cards, cash and Apple Pay.
HOURS OF OPERATION
The golf shop will be open each day from 5:30 a.m. to dusk.
RANGE BALLS
Warm up range balls will be provided to contestants on the driving range each day from 6:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
CARTS
Carts will be available to participants for $25 per day and fees were collected by the PNGA during registration. If you did not pay for a cart during registration but would like to add one, please contact the PNGA before round one pairings are released on Tuesday, August 19. Carts will not be guaranteed for players who do not make a reservation prior to round one pairings being released.
SPECTATOR CARTS
To provide an equal championship platform for all competitors, the use of carts by spectators is not permitted by the PNGA.
CHAMPIONSHIP ACCOMMODATIONS FOR DISABLED SPECTATORS
The PNGA is committed to providing an enjoyable spectator experience for people with disabilities at PNGA championships. Requests from spectators seeking transportation onto the golf course due to a permanent disability, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), should be submitted one week in advance to the PNGA Championship Department. While spectator carts may not always be available at each site, the PNGA will make every effort to accommodate these requests when available.
Generally, an ADA covered disability is defined as a “physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities of the individual”. See, 42 USCA §12102. Spectators with a “temporary” injury or impairment that is not an ADA disability will not be allowed use of a golf cart under this Policy.

CADDIES
Host club caddies will not be available. A player may provide her own caddie. All caddies will be required to wear a caddie bib distributed on the first tee.
PRIZES
All prizes will be awarded according to 54-hole stroke play scores (gross only).
Champion & Runner-up: Crystal award and merchandise credit. Other high finishers will receive merchandise credit.
AWARDS CEREMONY
An awards ceremony will take place immediately following the completion of the championship on Thursday, August 28.
EXEMPTIONS
Champion will receive a lifetime exemption into the PNGA Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship.
GHIN SCORE POSTING
The PNGA will post competition scores for all players to the USGA GHIN System and Golf Canada.
DRESS CODE
Players and caddies must be neat in appearance with respect to personal grooming and clothing while on host club property. The PNGA Dress Code Policy is available at the following link: thepnga.org/championship-home/championship-policies/ and will be provided to all players, along with any additional measures required by the host club, in the Player Memorandum.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The PNGA expects all contestants, caddies, gallery, and guests to exhibit proper conduct and behavior on the golf course and anywhere on club property during a PNGA championship. Unbecoming conduct or behavior may be grounds for immediate disqualification, at any time, from any PNGA event. The following are some examples of unbecoming conduct or behavior:
- Repeated use of loud, abusive, and/or profane language
- Throwing and/or breaking equipment (club, ball, etc.) in anger or frustration
- Damaging host club, PNGA, and/or fellow contestant property
- Public criticism or verbal abuse of host club, officials, volunteers or staff, and/or PNGA volunteers, staff or fellow contestants
- Potential endangerment of others
- Intentionally violating stated club policy
- Violation of PNGA Dress Code and/or Footwear Policy
- Other conduct deemed unbecoming
The Committee in charge of the competition shall be the sole judge of determining Conduct Code violations.
UNOFFICIAL WITHDRAWAL
During play of the championship, a competitor who withdraws must notify PNGA staff and fill out a withdraw form. Entrants who unofficially withdraw (by not notifying PNGA staff or without having sufficient reason to withdraw) will not be granted entry into any future PNGA championship for a minimum of two years.
PACE OF PLAY POLICY
Players are encouraged to be familiar with the PNGA’s Stroke Play Pace of Play Policy, which is in effect for all championships
LOCAL RULES AND TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
Players are encouraged to be familiar with the PNGA’s 2025 Local Rules and Terms of the Competition, which will be in effect at all championships.
PROHIBITED USE OF AUDIO EQUIPMENT
Rule 4.3 is modified in this way: During a round, a player is not allowed to use an electronic device to listen to music or other audio (such as podcasts or the like), including by using speakers, headphones or earbuds. Penalty for breach of Local Rule - see Rule 4.3.
