You will be placed in an initial flight with teams of similar team total handicap.
You will play each team in your flight twice.
Flights will be reorganized based on accumulated team point from each initial double round robin.
You will play each team in your new flight once.
Teams with the highest accumulated points after a full cycle win their respective flight grouping.

Good Afternoon,
First off, I want to start by saying thank you to everyone for being patient this week. I really appreciate that everyone has given me the time needed to figure out some fairly major issues with the tournament software we use for league. Unfortunately we have found some errors in its abilities to work with our normal match play scoring. We have found a solution to pivot our format in a way to make sure all handicaps are fairly being accounted for. Everything has been updated and is available to check out on our league portal. Please bare with me for a description of the new match play format we are going to utilize as it does differ slightly from past years.
1.) Matches are going to be played in a team format ( 2v2 instead of 1v1 1v1). This will essentially look like team best score. Everyone plays their own ball and fills out the scorecard with their Gross score. The teams best Net score will be used in the match play vs the opponents' best Net score each hole.
2.) Handicaps are still going to be used in the match as normal. Scorecards will show your course handicap/playing handicap & strokes. Dots will be set for each player off of the lowest handicap player in the pairing. (The playing handicap is essentially your course handicap - the lowest handicap of the pairing.)
3.) Scoring will be as follows: Win Hole = 1 point Tie Hole = 1/2 point Lose Hole = 0 points Win Match = 1 Bonus point (Total Possible = 10)
4.) If a teammate is absent, the present player's Net score is the only score used for the match against opponents' best Net score.
5.) If both team members are absent the same 3/6 match points will automatically be entered without a match win bonus point.
I apologize for any confusion this pivot might bring but I truly feel this new format is going to be the best way to keep this league fair and fun for all.
Thanks again!
