Canoe Brook Invitational
Date: Thursday July 10th, Friday July 11th, and Saturday July 12th
Schedule of Events: July 10: Practice Round (shotgun North 1:00 PM additional sign-up required), Open Play (available on South Course all day, call Kevin/ Preston to organize), Champions Dinner (begins at 6:30 PM)
July 11: Rounds 1-3 tee times starting at 7:30 AM
July 12: Rounds 4-5 starting at 8:30 AM, shoot-out to begin at approximately 3:00 PM
Champions Dinner: Event will begin at 6:30 PM on Thursday, July 10th. Jacket required, tie optional. Raffle and Pari-mutuel betting will highlight the dinner.
Pace of Play Expectations: Matches should be completed in 2 hours and 15 minutes on Friday. Saturday shotgun rounds are expected to be played in 2 hours, 30 minutes.
Format: Round Robin Four-ball match play. Teams will be flighted according to team index. Format for the Practice round event to be determined.
Handicap: 90% handicap. Gold tee adjustment allowed if a particular participant meets the age/ handicap requirement. Additionally, if partners have an adjusted course handicap of more than 8 strokes, a reduction of 10% of each player’s handicap will be applied. Handicaps will be pulled approximately a week prior to play to allow the Professional Staff time to prepare. Please note: the entire event will be played with the same index.
Eligibility: Open to all “A”, “J”, “L”, “SR” and “SR+” members until cutoff date; if space remains available, the Tournament will be opened to all “C”, “H and “NR” members.
Registration: Required online. Registrations opens for Priority member classifications (A, J, L, SR and SR+) on May 1st. Registration deadline will be Tuesday May 6th at 5pm. Should the priority registration period exceed 240 participants, a weighted blind draw will be held to determine entry and order of waitlist. Non-priority registration (NR, C, B) will begin 5/7 and will either fill out the field or create an expanded wait list.
Note: Members who purchased CBCC hotel rooms during the charity auction at the 2024 Canoe Brook Invitational will automatically be admitted to the field. (Up to 8 members). The defending Champions will automatically be admitted to the field (Matt Theriault and Mike Sayers).
Cost: $1495 per team (includes $200 to fund the prize pool)
