Dear Participant,
Welcome to the Wachusett Country Club’s Annual
Vin OBey Memorial Round Robin.
For over 60 years, Wachusett Country Club has proudly hosted the Wachusett Four Ball on Labor Day weekend. This beloved tournament was founded in 1945 by Vin OBey and Joe Marrone, and it has since become a treasured tradition for players and families alike.
Vin was truly the heart and soul of the club. From his corner table by the window, he kept a watchful eye on the course and its members, signing up players for the Four Ball, Club Championship, and the Worcester County Amateur. Today, a memorial near the driving range honors the countless hours Vin spent in the old pro shop—a place he called home for much of his life.
He is deeply missed, but his spirit lives on through this event.
We sincerely thank each of you for joining us in celebrating Vin’s legacy. If there’s anything we can do to make your experience more enjoyable, please don’t hesitate to let us know. This weekend is about you—so relax, enjoy yourself, and have fun!
Sincerely,
The Marrone Family
