TEE TIME: There is no registration or check-in before the round. You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes before your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

PRACTICE ROUND: Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (248) 363-3335.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM 12-and-Under Junior Championship contestants.

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS, the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is the GENERAL PENALTY for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the round.

GAM DRESS CODE:  Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars.  Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted.  Players are expected to adhere to the dress code.

CADDIES/CARTS: All players are required to walk. Contestants must carry their bags; caddies are not permitted.  Push carts may be used.  Spectator carts are only permitted if a request is made, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart. The doctor’s note should be sent to
tournaments@gam.org before the tournament. Spectator cart usage is subject to cart availability and course condition/weather issues.

PRACTICE RANGE: Players will have complimentary practice privileges on the days of the competition, before play only.

PLAYOFF: In case of ties, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff for the Champion in all Divisions.  

WITHDRAWAL:  If you must withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournaments@gam.org. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions. 

GAM Foundation Junior Tournament Player Grants: The Golf Association of Michigan Foundation offers need-based financial grants to select junior golfers participating in GAM Championships. Grants are awarded through an application process that considers family financial needs and other factors contributing to funding gaps for competitive golf-related expenses.
