TOURNAMENT ELIGIBILITY: All Amateur UGA members with a handicap index below 10.0 as of May 15th. 

 

ENTRY FEE: $225 per player, price includes range balls. (cart not included)

 

EARLY REGISTRATION: Players who meet the following criteria can register one week early: Past Champions, Top 20 finishers from the Championship Flight in 2024, and Top 5 finishers from the A Flight in 2024.

 

REGISTRATION & ENTRY DEADLINE: Preferred Player Entry begins on Monday, April 24th. General registration starts on May 5th and will remain open until May 25th. 

 

 

 

EVENT INFORMATION

 

FORMAT & FIELD SIZE: The event will be contested over 36 holes of Individual Stroke Play. The field is limited to 156 players and will play in threesomes.

 

STARTING TIMES & PAIRINGS: Starting times and pairings for the first round will be available no later than Thursday, May 212st. Final round starting times and pairings will be available in the evening after round 1 of play. Final round starting times will be redrawn, based on round 1 scores. 

 

CART RENTAL: The cart fee will allow you to ride a cart each tournament day. If you elect to ride only one day, your fee is non-refundable.

 

AMATEUR PAYOUT: Payouts will be determined by the flights and based on the number of entries in the field. All flight winners will be issued gift certificates to be used for merchandise at any Salt Lake City golf course. All merchandise certificates MUST be used by October 31, 2025.

 

FLIGHT & TEE INFORMATION: Players with a handicap of .5 or less will be placed in the Championship Flight and play the Black Tees. All other players will be split evenly between Flight 1 & 2 and will play the blue tees. All participants will be eligible to compete for the Overall Championship if they play the Black Tees.

 

REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS & WITHDRAWALS: If you cannot compete in the championship, you must officially withdraw from the event by contacting Lynsey Myers at lynsey.myers@slc.gov. If you do not officially withdraw, you may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from future SLC Amateur Championships. Any player withdrawing before Tuesday, May 27th at 11:00 p.m. will receive a full refund, less a $20 administrative fee. Any withdrawals after the entry deadline will not receive a refund.

 

PRACTICE FACILITIES: Range balls are included in your entry fee, and practice facilities will be available to all players during the Championship. The practice facilities will open one hour before the first starting time.

 

CARTS: All players who wish to ride must check in with the golf shop staff each morning to check out a golf cart. The golf shop staff will have a list of all participants who prepaid for their carts during the registration process. If you did not pay the $20 per day cart rental fee during registration, you may pay when you check in. Only two carts per group will be permitted, and no spectator carts will be allowed.

 

STARTING TIMES & PAIRINGS: Starting times and pairings for the first round will be available no later than Thursday, May 29th. Round 1 and the final round starting times and pairings will be available in the evening after play, online at SLC Amateur Pairings, and will be emailed to players. Final round starting times and pairings will be redrawn based on the total score of Round 1.

 Saturday, June 1 - Round 1:

  • 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. – B Flight
  • 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. – A Flight
  • 11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Championship Flight
  • Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 

Sunday, June 2 - Round 2: All flights repaired based on scores from round 1.

  • 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. – B Flight
  • 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. – A Flight
  • 11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Championship Flight
  • Approximately 7:30 p.m. – Awards ceremony near the clubhouse after the conclusion of the round
