Format:
36 holes of stroke play (18 holes per day). Play will be 100% of the Course Handicap. Men will play from the WHITE tee markers and women will play from the GOLD tee markers, at the posted yardages, in all flights. Course Handicaps for women will be adjusted accordingly . In the event of a tie for first place, there will be a hole-by-hole play-off to determine the winner, in each flight, immediately following the conclusion of play. If a play-off cannot be conducted (decision of the Committee and golf course) the USGA method of matching cards will be used. Ties for second and third place, in each flight, will be broken using the USGA method of matching scorecards.
Note: The Chardonnay course will be holes 1 through 9; the Zinfandel course will be holes 10 through 18.
Flights:
Big Sur (11.1 and below); Golden Gate (11.2-15.5); Yosemite (15.6 and above). Flights are determined using the September 15, 2018 Handicap Revision, the Championship will be played to the October 1, 2018 Handicap Revision.
Competition Schedule:
8:00 AM off the 1st and 10th tees. Please click on Pairings and Starting Times tab for groupings and starting times. Players should be at their assigned tee 10 minutes prior to their starting time. Second round starting times will be posted on the NCGA website following the conclusion of first round. Players will be grouped by score within their flights.
Practice Round Information:
Contact the Golf Shop at 925-456-8202 to schedule a practice round. Fee - $66 (Weekdays), $86 (Weekends), cart included.
Cart Fee Information:
Golf carts are optional at the player’s expense. Cart rental is $17 per rider. A maximum of two carts per group is permitted. Push carts are permitted. SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED.
Golf Shop and Driving Range:
The Golf Shop will be open at 6:30 AM. The Driving Range will be open at daylight.
Payment Information:
Cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted for all purchases (golf shop and food and beverage).
Food and Beverage Information:
The Grill will open at 6:30 AM. Outside food and beverage is not permitted.
