SKILLS CHALLENGE

 

Rules, Regulations and Eligibility for Competition


 

  1. This competition is in no way associated with the USGA, PGA or Masters Drive, Chip and Putt Competition.

 

  1. The competition will be a one day event, scheduled for Saturday, June 21st 2025 beginning at 9 am. and it will take place at Maple City Country Club.

 

  1. There will be 3 ages categories for both boys and girls:                                              7-9 yr olds

      10-11 yr olds

      12-13 yr olds

               

  1. Competitors will compete in the age division by whatever age they are on the day of the competition. (June 21, 2025)

 

 

 

  1. Only online registrations will be accepted and registration closes one week prior to the competition. (June 14th, 2025)

 

 

  1. The guardian or parent, via online signature at registration, agrees to submit a release of liability, which is required prior to participation. Participation constitutes permission to use competitor's name and likeness for any necessary purpose without compensation.

 

  1. The players clubs and equipment must conform with the requirements set forth in the Rules of Golf.

 

  1. Players this year will receive instruction on the particular skill area that they rotate too. (ie Players at driving range will receive instruction on proper technique in addressing and driving the ball, meanwhile players at chipping area, will receive chipping technique instruction and players at putting area will receive tips on proper putting technique.

 

  1. Once the instruction portion is complete the players will begin their competition. (noted below)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Competition Skills:

 

  1. Participants will get two drives of the golf ball in which the distance will be electronically measured between a 40 yd fairway width.

 

  1. Participants will get two chips from 10 -15 yds out from a designated flag stick target.

 

  1. Participants will get two putts, one from one from 15ft and one from 30ft.
