Format including Handicap Allowance
The competition is a pairs foursomes medal (Stroke Play) played over 36 holes (2 rounds on the same day).
The handicap allowance is 50% of the combined players handicaps.
Handicap index is limited to 12.4 or less on the day of entry.
On the day of competition course handicaps will be limited to the maximum Handicap Index limit for entry.
Eligibility
This competition will be played under the R&A Rules of Amateur Status (Jan 2022).
Entry is limited to male players with a handicap index of 12.4 or less on the day of entry.
All players must be amateur members of a golf club affiliated to Worcestershire County Golf Ltd. and have nominated the club they represent as their “Home Club”, for WHS Handicapping purposes.
Entry Requirements
All clubs affiliated to Worcestershire County Golf Ltd may enter up to 3 teams of two players (pairs).
A light lunch will be provided.
Entry will close at Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 01:00 AM, after which a draw will be made, and tee times made available.
There is no entry fee for this competition as all Club Team events are FREE under the Affiliation Fee Agreement with Worcestershire County Golf Ltd.
Note: This is a club team entry, and members MUST ensure that their club is aware and in agreement with the team entered.
How Ties will be Decided
The Boulton Salver will be awarded to the club whose pair returns the lowest nett score over 36 holes.
For all prizes, including the Boulton Salver, the pair with the better or best score on countback over the last 18, 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes will be declared the winners.
When the Result is Confirmed
A score will be considered returned once it has been placed in the provided box.
The result will be announced on the day of the competition after all the scorecards have been returned, checked, and verified.
The Boulton Salver will be awarded to the club whose pair returns the lowest nett score over 36 holes.
There are other gross and nett prizes.
A player may win any or all trophies and their prizes. A player who has won a trophy cannot win a non-trophy prize. A player may win only one non-trophy prize.

Practice rounds may be available at the hosting club’s discretion; please contact the club for cost and availability.
Each year the competition is hosted by the winning club from the previous year.
Where a club has won for a third consecutive time, the club with next highest score in the competition will be the host for the following year.
