Eligibility:

 

An open event for all Elementary, Middle and High Schools students within the following ages:

 

 Boys & Girls 8 to 18 years old

 

Entry Requirements and Registration Deadline:

All registration must be completed through the Puerto Rico Junior Tour Golf Genius Portal.

 

Late entries will not be accepted.

 

Entry deadline: Wednesday, November 13, 2025 at 5:00 pm

 

 

 

FORMAT:

 

The National Schools Championships will play under USGA & R&A Rules of Golf and recently revised decisions. 

 

 

 Boys 16-18 | Boys 14-15 Divisions: 
36 Hole Stroke Play Competition. 

Each participant will play walking 18 holes per day. Caddies will not be allowed in these divisions

 

Girls 14-18 Divisions: 

36 Hole Stroke Play Competition

Each participant will play walking 18 holes per day. Caddies will not be allowed in these divisions

 

Boys 11-13 | Girls 11-13 Divisions: 
36 Hole Stroke Play Competition. 

Each participant will play walking 18 holes per day. Caddies will be allowed in these divisions

 

Prep Series 11-13 | Prep Series 14-18

36 Hole Stroke Play Competition. 

Each participant will play walking 18 holes per day. Caddies will be allowed in these divisions.

 

BEGINNERS 13&UNDER | BOYS & GIRLS 8-10 | Boys 5-7

18 Hole Stroke Play Competition.

Each participant will play walking 9 holes per day. Caddies will be allowed in these divisions.

18 holes 2 players Team: $400

9 holes players individual: $160

9 holes 2 player Team: $320

9 holes 3 player Team: $480

TEAM RULES:

 

1. Each team will consist of a maximum of five (5) players and a minimum of two (2) in order to be eligible to compete as a team.

The team’s final score shall be determined by totaling the scores of the best two scores (2).

 

2. Schools can register a team of players participating in any of the 18 hole per day divisions.

 

2.Team Participation

a. Any school may participate with one (1) player; however, they will not be eligible for any
team championship.

b. All schools must compete in the required amount of established rounds to be elegible for the championship.

c. TEAM SCORING: Each team will combine the best two (2) players scores, which will make up their team
score for each round.

d. Individual Competition: Any school can register 1  player. Schools with teams may register 1 players as an individual competitor besides the ones elected for Team competition. These players scores will NOT count for the Team Overall score. 

 

 

Coaches will determine which players will count at the registration tent before the each round begins. Once these players are identified, they are locked in as the ones that count for the team score.

 

 

DISQUALIFICATIONS:

Any player who is part of a major breach of the rules of golf or intentionally impedes the pace of play during a competition will be disqualified and could possibly disqualify his/her team. Any infringement of the rules of golf will be taken care of the Tournament Committee which consist of: 

PRJTI Tournament Committee / USGA-R&A Rules Official.

18 holes Team Overall (1st to 3rd place)  

Varsity Boys | Varsity Girls  | Junior Varsity Boys | Junior Varsity Girls 

 

Boys 18 holes Individual (Top 10) (This includes the Prep Series Divisions) 

 

Girls 18 holes Individual (Top 10) (This includes the Prep Series Divisions) 

 

 

9 holes Team Overall (1st to 3rd place) Mini Boys | Mini Girls 

 

 

9 hole boys Top 10 (This includes the Beginners 13&Under and Boys 8-10)

REFUND POLICY
Open date to one (1) week prior to Championship date:
Full refund minus $60.00 USD administrative fee regardless of reason.

 

Withdraw during the week of the Championship date, late arrival, no-show:

NO REFUND FOR ANY REASON.

CADDIES: 
9 holes | Prep Series and 11-13 divisions) Caddies are permitted at PRJT championships unless otherwise stated in the letter to competitors and/or the local rules sheet. Caddies must wear their BIB AT ALL TIMES during the competition. A competitor should identify his/her caddie to an opponent or to the competitor’s marker prior to the start of play. The competitor is responsible for the conduct of the caddie during an event. 

REGISTRATION & SCORING:

Registration: Will be located at the entrance of the Clubhouse

 

Scoring: Round 1: The Scoring Tent will be located at the back tees of hole 1. 

              Round 2: Scoring Tent will be located at the Putting practice area.

TRANSPORTATION: 

Players and caddies must walk at all times on the Front 9 unless authorized by a Rules Official and/or are using the provided shuttle service approved by the Tournament Committee.

These are the allowed holes for player and caddie transportation:

Green of hole 1 to tee of hole 2 | Green of hole 7 to tee of hole 8 | Green of Hole 9 to tee of hole 10

Green of hole 11 to tee of hole 12 | Green of hole 18 to tee of hole 1 

 

TIES:

In the event of a tie for first position, an aggregate score playoff will be played on holes 1,8 and 9 until a winner is declared.
