ENTRY FEE: $200 per team
REFUND POLICY: Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if LGA office is notified, in writing, before the close of entries. After the close of entries, fee will be refunded only in the event of injury or illness provided notification (accompanied by a doctor’s statement) reaches LGA office by February 22, 2019. A $40 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.
Eligibility: Entries are open to any junior who is an amateur golfer (as defined by the USGA) and is a member of the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour. Entrants must be 13 years of age by midnight, February 23, 2019, and cannot have reached their 19th birthday by midnight, February 24, 2019. Non-amateurs are not eligible. Entries are subject to rejection at any time (including during the championship) by the LGA. Reasons for rejection may include unbecoming conduct.
Field/Format of Play: Limited to the first 48 team entries. Participants must choose to enter the appropriate divsion (Boys (13-18) or Girls (13-18)). The Boys division will compete from approximately 6,400 yards. The Girls will compete from a forward tee approximately 5,500 yards.
Dress Code, Cell Phones: Competitors must be neat in appearance and wear appropriate attire. No gym shorts, cutoffs, blue jeans, tee shirts, etc. Shorts must be Bermuda length. Use of cell phones, including those used as Electronic Measuring Devices, is prohibited on the course during the competition (The Committee reserves the right to disqualify a competitor for a breach of the policy regarding cell phone usage; See USGA Rules of Golf Decision 33-7/8). Important Note: Squire Creek CC is a spikeless facility and all competitors will be required to wear spikeless shoes.
Practice Privileges: Practice privileges are extended to participants in the Tournament at Squire Creek on February 22, 2019.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in each division. A 15U low medal will be awarded (both team members must be 15 years old or younger). 15U teams who win an overall prize are precluded from the 15U medalist competition. In case of a tie for the championship in the boy or girls division, a sudden death playoff will take place immediately upon the conclusion of play. All other ties, determining prizes and recognition, will be decided by matching scorecards(also known as "card count-back" or scorecard play-off), per the USGA method in section 5A(6) of the Committee Procedures.
Rules of Golf: Play will be governed by the current USGA Rules of Golf and LGA Rules of Play Card. All questions will be settled by the LGA Rules Committee, whose decision will be final. Automotive transportation (carts) and/or caddies will not be permitted.
HEADQUARTERS HOTEL: Squire Creek Golf Houses, single rooms with queen beds $95/night and King suites $120/night. The golf houses are located on the squire creek property just a short walk from the clubhouse adjacent to the pool. Each room has it's own bathroom, Flat screen TV and Wifi access. The unique floor plan and security allows for the rooms to be individually reserved or reserved as a group. Rooms will be released for general use on February 7, reservations made after this date will be on a space available basis.
