Dear Parents and Juniors
We had a fabulous day on Sunday of Pinehurst golf in the Cayman Islands! The turnout and excitement around the event sets us up well for the fall ahead.
The tournament wouldn't have been possible without our sponsor - Red Sail Sports. Thank you to them for generous support of junior golf and fun family activities. Please remember them for outings when visitor season kicks off in a few months.
We would like to recognize the staff at North Sound for their allocation of tee times, support and guidance all weekend. And to our team of volunteers, thank you for bringing smiles to so many faces over the course of the day, especially on the first tee as they started off on their rounds!

The 2025 CIGA Red Sail Junior Senior Pinehurst will be held on Sunday, August 24th at North Sound Golf Club with tee times beginning at noon. Limited to 24 teams so register early. Tee times will be emailed by Friday.
Pinehurst Format:
- Second Shot Selection: After the second shots, the team chooses the ball in the better position and play that one ball from there onwards.
- Alternate Shot: The player whose second shot was not selected plays the third shot, and from there, the team plays alternate shot until the ball is holed.
- 18 Holes Stroke Play
- Tee Shots: Both players on the team hit a tee shot on each hole.
- Switch Balls: Players switch balls for their second shots, meaning Player A will play Player B's drive, and Player B will play Player A's drive.
Team Composition:
One Junior Golfer (18 and under) and one Senior Golfer (19 and over)
Team handicap is calculated as 60% of lower handicap and 40% of higher handicap
Each player must be a CIGA Member and have a valid handicap established in GHIN. Handicap calculation will be done based on which tees each Player has chosen to play.
Flights will be created based on team handicaps:
Low Handicap, Mid Handicap, High Handicap
Break points will be announced when tournament draw is released.
Gross and Net prizes will be awarded in each flight.
Entry fee of CI$25 per golfer (CI$50 per team) payable in cash at Sunday registration and includes meal for golfers.
Before play please check in with North Sound pro shop to settle green fees for non-members ($40 USD per junior round and $150 USD per adult round).
Deadline for registration is Sunday, August 17th.
