Rounds 1 and 2 - September 6th and 7th

Practice Round - September 5th (Optional Money Game)

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new event: the Fall Superbrawl Golf Tournament—an exciting 2-Person team format that promises great competition, camaraderie, and fun! Teams may consist of a member + member or a member + guest.

Continuing the spirit of giving established by the Old Bull Young Bull tradition, the winning team will have the honor of selecting a charity to receive a donation. The donation amount will be based on participation and tournament proceeds—so the more, the merrier (and the more generous)!

We invite you to help us kick off what we hope will become a staple in the CCC tournament rotation. Let’s make the first Fall Superbrawl an unforgettable one!

Format Overview

  • For this inaugural event, 48 teams will be divided into 8 flights. The flights will be comprised of 6 teams that will compete in two days of stroke play golf. The format is based on a 2-Person Shamble format. The same tees and pin positions will be played on both days. You will receive a score on Saturday based on your team Shamble score, a score on Sunday based on your team Shamble score and a Superbrawl score which is the best team net score on each hole over the course of the two days.
  • Following play on Sunday, the winners of each flight and four (4) wild card teams will participate in a 5-hole Slugfest. The four wild card teams will be the lowest scoring team in each group of two flights that did not win their flight. In the event of a tie for flight winner or for a wild card team, the Superbrawl score will be used to break the tie.
  • The Slugfest will be held over five (5) holes. The Shamble format will be continued. Handicaps will be wheeled, then strokes will fall based on the scorecard. All teams will participate in the first two holes. Six (6) teams will be eliminated following the second hole. Teams with the highest two-hole aggregate scores will be eliminated. In the event of ties, a chip off will break the tie, except on the final hole. Three (3) teams will be eliminated on the third hole, one team on the fourth hole and the final two teams will play hole 18. If at any point during the Slugfest a team loses their ball (e.g. ball is hit OB, into the pond on 14, or lost in a native area), they will be eliminated immediately.
  • If the two remaining teams are tied at the conclusion of hole 18, they will participate in sudden death to determine the overall Superbrawlers.
  • The USGA Rules of Golf will govern all play unless state in the local rules.

  Registration

  • Registration opens on July 28th at 7:00am and closes on August 24th at 5:00pm.
    • This is a Member/Member or Member/Guest event.
    • Members must be a golf member in good standing at Casper Country Club.
    • Both members and guests must have an active GHIN Handicap.
  • Secure your spot early! Once registration reaches 48 teams, additional teams will be added to the wait list. Additional teams will only be added if a team cancels prior to the deadline or there are enough teams on the waitlist to add an additional flight.
  • You must register as a team. Individual registration is not permitted, and we will not hold spots for anyone that does not have a partner.
  • Partners changes will not be permitted after Friday, August 29th. Cancellations will not be refunded after September 1st unless there is a team on the wait list available to fill the open spot.

Tournament Schedule

Official tournament schedule will be announced on September 2nd.

Handicaps and Flights

  • Tournament handicaps will be 85% of the 6-month low index for all participants. Flights will be built 7 days before round one. Final handicaps will be updated three days prior to round one.
  • GHIN and home course must be provided for any guests that are registered.
  • All golfers must have 10 rounds recorded in the last 12 months to qualify to play.
  • In the event a team’s handicap difference is greater than ten (10) strokes, the higher handicap will be adjusted down to the maximum difference of ten.
  • To ensure fair competition for all participants, the tournament committee reserves the authority to adjust a players handicap, apply a penalty, or disqualify a player prior to or during play, if a handicap appears to be inaccurate, suspicious or manipulated, or their observed performance is significantly better than expected.
