TOURNAMENT GUIDE

REGISTRATION

Upon your arrival at the golf course, please head directly to the registration table. Our team will be there to assist you with the check-in process and provide you with the necessary event information.

HANDICAPPING

For the upcoming tournament, players will be required to play off the "LOW HI" as indicated on your HANDICAP NETWORK AFRICA app on the day of play. To determine their playing handicap, golfers will receive an 85% allowance of their Course Handicap, in accordance with the International Handicapping Rules of the Tournament.

LIVE SCORING

One player in each 4ball will be required to do live scoring on their phone. Please download the GolfGenius scoring app on your mobile device. Click on the link to download GolfGenius on APPLE APP STORE or Google Play Store. You will receive you log in code at registration. Note, you are still required to keep 2 scorecards per fourball.

STARTING

For a seamless start to the tournament, we request all players to register 30 minutes before their published tee time and be on their allocated tee box 10 minutes prior to their published tee time. Where possible and available we will have starter/s present to manage player introductions and tee-off times.

ON-COURSE RULES

During the tournament, should a rules official not be available during a ruling query, the 2-ball rule will apply and the issue resolved after the round. Please adhere to the course pace of play and to the course marshals to ensure the smooth flowing of the field. The normal rules of golf will apply, and we will also adhere to the Local rules of the club.

TEE BOX SELECTION

Players will be set to the club default tee box color. Players will be allowed to select their tee box, should they wish not to play off the default club tees. Your handicap will adjust according to the tee box selected. Please ensure you have communicated this to the tournament staff upon registration.

HALFWAY

After completion of your 1st nine holes (unless the course halfway house is not at the 9th  hole) there will be a halfway break for all players. The halfway will be covered by the tournament organizers. Any additional orders or purchases will be your responsibility.

Should the field be slow this could be changed to a grab ‘n go for affected players.

SCORING STATION

Upon completion of your round, please ensure you have double-checked all-scores with your markers. Report to the scoring station with a minimum of 1 player of each team (both markers from each team). We will only accept scorecards if 1 player from each team is present at the table. Each 4 ball must submit 2 scorecards, thus 2 per 4ball, 1 per team. Ensure scores are done completely and correctly for all players, as any errors upon submission of scorecards could lead to worse scores to stand or disqualification.

PRIZE GIVING

Prize-giving will commence after all players have finished their round and all scores have been verified and confirmed. While it is not compulsory to stay for the prize-giving ceremony, we kindly ask you to notify the tournament organizers if you decide not to attend.

Once players have finished their rounds, we will invite you to the Bar/Function room for the prize-giving ceremony. Each 4 ball will receive  a 4 Ball platter as arranged with the club.  Any additional orders or purchases beyond this will be your responsibility.

GOLF CARTS/ CADDIES/ DRIVING RANGE

Players are to arrange all golf carts/Caddies (where available) with the course directly. These cost as well as the cost for the use of the driving range will be for the player's own account
