Ovarian cancer affects 1 in 78 women, yet many do not know the risks or
warning signs. With no reliable early detection test available, funding for
research has never been more critical.
September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, and Highland Park Golf
Course is proud to stand alongside Teal Wings of Hope in raising awareness
and essential funds all month long to help advance ovarian cancer research,
early detection and treatment.
This cause is deeply personal to our Highland Park family. The vision of Teal
Wings of Hope was inspired by Babs Barrett, wife of Honours Golf Founder
Bob Barrett, whose courageous journey with ovarian cancer helped shape our
mission and its four pillars: Awareness, Education, Research, and Support.
Our mission continues to resonate throughout our board and supporters, many
of whom have been directly impacted by ovarian cancer - whether through
the loss of loved ones or standing beside them through repeated battles with
the disease.
