Terms of Competition

 

The Terms of Competition are supplementary to the General Terms of Competition for DCGU Championships and Competitions as published on the Event Portal and the County website.

 

1.      Eligibility

This competition is limited to paid up members of the DCGU County Membership Scheme with a Handicap Index of 28.4 or less. Players with a Handicap Index up to 30.4 may play but their Playing Handicap will be calculated off a Handicap Index of 28.4.

 

2.      Format

It is a 4BBB Stableford competition, played over 18 holes from the Yellow (Daily use) Tees.

 

3.      Handicap

The Handicap Allowance is 85% of each player’s Course Handicap.

 

4.      Entries

Entry and payment of fees shall be carried out online via the County’s Golf Genius software package.

 

5.      Scorecards

Scorecards should be checked and returned to the Committee as soon as possible after the end of the round.

A scorecard is considered returned when:

• it is handed to the Scorer(s) and the player has walked away from the Scorer’s table.

or

• it is placed in the plastic box situated on the Scorer’s table and the player has walked away from the Scorer’s table.

 

6.      Ties

In the event of a tie after 18 holes, the result shall be decided by on countback based on the score for the last nine holes, last six holes, last three holes and finally the 18th hole.

If there is still a tie, then the last six holes, three holes and final hole of the first nine holes will be considered in turn.

 

7.      Prizes

The winner of the event will receive a glass memento. Prize Vouchers will be awarded to the first four places in the competition.
