Round 2 - Better Ball

 

Handicaps: Scramble 35% of Low Handicap Partner combined with 15% of High Handicap Partner will give team handicap for Net Competition, stokes where they fall based on handicap holes. Full course handicap on round 2 for better ball. (MAX differential of 8 strokes)

 

Team Scramble Handicaps are rounded to the nearest whole number.

 

Teeing Ground: All play from the blue tee markers. All players whose age plus COURSE HANDICAP are equal or greater than 90 may play the white tee markers.

 

All Ties will be a scorecard playoff starting from the hardest rated holes.

 

Rules: All play is governed by USGA rules, except when modified by local rules listed below.

 

Bunkers: Before playing a ball in a bunker, a player may remove loose impediments under Rule 15.1 and movable obstructions under Rule 15.2.

Ground Under Repair: All areas marked with white paint are considered ground under repair. You may take a free drop, one club length, nearest point of relief, no closer to the hole.

 

Embedded Ball: Relief is allowed under Rule 16.3b only when a play’s ball is embedded in the general area. Immovable Obstructions: Irrigation control boxes, yardage markers, cart paths, and electrical boxes are considered immovable obstructions, take relief under Rule 16.

 

The pump house on #18 is considered an immovable obstruction, only stance and swing relief given under rule 16.

 

Penalty Areas: Penalty areas are indicated by red stakes. On holes 12, 14, & 18 the rock wall in between the bunker and the water is considered in the penalty area. The edge of the rock wall adjacent to the bunker shall serve as the penalty area line in the absence of a red line.

 

Out of Bounds: Defined by white stakes when Present.

 

In Absence of Out of Bounds stakes, use the following definitions.

On Hole #11, #12, defined by fairway edge of sidewalk.

On Hole #17, #18 defined by fairway edge of curb of the road.

On Hole #5, #8 defined by the inside edge of the fence. The entire fence is out of bounds.

On Hole #9, the entire cart path up to the stakes near the staging area is in bounds.
