This year, we will be doing live scoring using Golf Genius. First, you must go to the app store and download the Golf Genius app. Next, open the app, and a window will appear asking you to sign in using a GGID or an email address. You will use the GGID located in the bottom right of your scorecard. After you have logged in with the GGID, you can input your hole-by-hole scores by clicking on the enter scores tab. After the scores for each hole are entered, you must press save. Otherwise, it will not save the scores on that hole. Please allow one person in the group to be the designated scorekeeper. Please keep an accurate scorecard; the signed scorecard will be the official document.
Golf rules: USGA rules will apply with special provisions for course conditions as noted on the Casper Country Club scorecard or noted herein or later stated as the local rules of play. The fourteen-club rule is in effect.
Local rules:
- Out of Bounds - defined by white stakes and boundary fencing.
- Lateral Penalty Areas - marked by red stakes or red lines. The "no mow' area is not played as a lateral hazard.
- Penalty Areas - marked by yellow stakes or yellow lines.
- Obstruction - Tee shelters, 150 yd. Rocks, tee markers, sprinkler heads, staked trees, metal tree wells, and cart paths. Free drop one club length at the nearest point of relief, not closer to the hole.
- If a ball is hit into the no mow" it is recommended that a provisional ball be played. If you find the original ball, the provisional ball must be abandoned (Rule 18.3c) and continue playing the original ball. A player may deem their ball unplayable at any place on the course except when the ball is in a penalty area (Rule 19.1).
- Distance-measuring devices are allowed if they measure distance only. Wind or gradient measuring devices are not permitted. Violation of this will result in disqualification (Rule 4.3a).
Format:
5 PERSON TEAM - 1 GROSS & 2 NET
All players will play their own ball throughout the round and have a score at the end of each hole.
Each team will count one gross ball and two net balls on each hole for the team score.
80% of the player's handicap will be used for both the team and individual prizes and are already dotted on scorecards.
We will also have Gross Skins, Net Skins, and Deuce Pot. (Included in your entry.)
Men will play from the BLUE TEES
Ladies will play from the RED TEES
Prizes are available for Low Pro, Low Gross, Low Net, and Team.
All Amateur prizes except Deuce pot are Pro Shop Credit.
Results will be emailed on Saturday.
Lunch will be available from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm inside the Cart Barn -this is included with your entry fee.
