Terms of Competition

 

The Terms of Competition are supplementary to the General Terms of Competition for DCGU Championships and Competitions as published on the Event Portal and the County website.

 

1.      Eligibility

This competition is limited to the selected members of the affiliated clubs that have entered the competition that had a Handicap Index of 5.5 to 18.4 on 29^th  May 2026.

 

2.      Format

It is a 4-man team Strokeplay competition, played over 18 holes from the Competition Tees, with the team score being the total aggregate of best 3 nett scores from each team.

 

3.      Handicap

The Handicap Allowance is 95% of each player’s Course Handicap.

 

4.      Entries

Entry and payment are made by the appropriate club official by return of entry form and payment of fees.

 

5.      Scorecards

Scorecards should be checked and returned to the Committee as soon as possible after the end of the round.

A scorecard is considered returned when:

• it is handed to the Scorer(s) and the player has walked away from the Scorer’s table.

or

• it is placed in the plastic box situated on the Scorer’s table and the player has walked away from the Scorer’s table.

 

6.      Ties

Ties will be decided by the lowest nett score returned by the fourth team member, and if there is still a tie, then the lowest nett aggregate score using all four score cards shall be determined over the last 9. 6. 3. 1. 12 & 15 holes.

 

7.      Prizes

The winning club will receive a Championship pennant and hold the Arthur S. Parkin Trophy for one year. The winners and runners-up will each receive a glass memento. A Prize Voucher will be awarded for the lowest individual nett score.
