Golfweek Amateur Tour Four-Ball Competition

2026 will take us back to Barefoot Resort & Golf Club

A premier destination in South Carolina and home to 4 amazing golf courses designed by the best in the business, Greg Norman, Davis Love III,

Tom Fazio and Pete Dye. We will be playing tournament rounds; one on the Love Course and one on The Dye course. The Love Course has traditional low country features while offering spacious landing areas that make playability enjoyable with a touch of challenge. The Dye course is surrounded by the Carolina Bay which provides a stunning backdrop, but don’t let the beauty fool you. This course will take you to school and it will be a round you will never forget.

Qualifications:   Open to members of the Golfweek Amateur Tour and Senior Amateur Tour.  Tour members are welcome to bring a guest with a verified handicap.

 

Format:  36-holes.  Two-person teams compete in a gross score best ball competition.

 

Divisions:  Golfweek Bracket (Under 50 years of age) and Senior Bracket (50 + years of age).

 

Flights:  3 Flights per division.  Championship Flight:  0-10 index total.  A Flight:  11-20 index total.  B Flight: 21 and over index total.

 

Practice Round/Optional Skins Game: 

 

• If interested, you must select the option during registration and Dennis McCormac will collect money prior to the tournament.  More information to come.
• Will take place Friday February 20, on the Love Course.  Tee times beginning at 10:31am.
• Cost is $110 per player. Dennis will send a payment button out two weeks before the tourney to make payment.
• There will be two separate Skins Pots: One for the Golfweek Division Players and one for the Senior Division Players.

 

Teams: 

 

• If you have a partner that you wish to play with, please note the FULL NAME of your teammate in the registration. 
• If you need a partner, please note 'Request Partner' in the Teammate field and Golfweek will pair you with another player with a similar handicap index.

 

Pool:  $6,000.00:  Based on a full field (120 players).  Payouts in each division.

 

Registration Fee:  $280.00 per player, includes:

• 2 tournament rounds with greens fees, cart fees.
• Unlimited practice range and balls for use prior to rounds.
• Prize fund of $100 per team, which will include payouts in each division.
• Team awards to champions in each flight.
• Tee gifts.

 

Accommodations:  Are not included in your registration fee.  Please secure lodging at a hotel of your choosing.

 

Travel: Air and ground transportation is not provided or arranged.

4:30pm-6:00pm:  Player Registration for the Match Play - The Love Course Clubhouse

 

Saturday, February 21

7:32am:  ROUND 1.  The Love Course.  Tee time start, double tees off No. 1 & No. 10

Lunch:  On your own

Afternoon / Evening:  On your own 

 

Sunday, February 22

9:00am:  ROUND 2.  The Dye Course.  Shotgun Start

CLOSING DATE DEADLINE (deadline to enter): February 1, 2026
- Cancellation before February 1:  Full refund minus $50 cancellation fee

- Cancellation after February 1:  No Refund
