THE TIEKE MEN'S SHOOTOUT IS BACK.

Grab your mate and join us for the Tieke Men's Shootout - a late-summer two-ball Ambrose filled with great golf, prizes, and plenty of clubhouse action.

 

Here's all the details:

 

DATE: Thursday 26 & Friday 27 February 2026

 

COMPETITION:

  • Team (two players) Ambrose
  • Nett and Gross over 36 holes
  • Nearest the Pins

 

MAJOR PRIZES:

  • Nett: 7-night stay at The Peninsular Beachfront Resort, Mooloolaba (Valued at AUS $3,500)
  • Net Runner-Up: Golf for two players with cart at Wairakei Golf + Sanctuary (Valued at NZ $660)
  • Gross: Golf for two players at Te Arai Links (Valued at NZ $800)

 

EVENT PROGRAM:

 

Round 1, Thursday 26th February 

  • 11am: Registrations open + our Pontoon Challenge (3 shots included with entry - win a dozen golf balls)
  • 12pm: Shotgun start
  • 4.30-6pm: Clubhouse function with drinks, slow-cooked BBQ burgers, and a Teams Putting Competition

 

Round 2, Friday 27th February

  • 8.30am: Registrations open
  • 9.30am: Shotgun Start
  • 2.30-3.30pm: Prize Presentation & Lunch

 

TOURNAMENT INCLUSIONS:

  • Two tournament rounds of golf at Tieke Golf Estate
  • A great prize pool
  • Novelty fun with the Pontoon Challenge and Teams Putting Competition
  • Welcome BBQ after Round 1
  • Prize presentation including Lunch after Round 2

 

COST:

  • $260 per player
  • (Tieke members $130 per player)

 

Carts can be booked at the time of registration (subject to availability)

 

ENTRY DETAILS:

  • Open to all Golf NZ-affiliated male golfers.
  • Handicap calculation: 35% of the lower and 15% of the higher handicapper, combined for the team.
  • Minimum 6 tee shots each round, per player
  • Tees: Kanuka
