The Battle at Highland Springs

Parings Party: Thursday 23, 2026 - 6:00 PM in the Banquet Room.  

 

Starting Time: Saturday AM Round - 8:30 AM, Saturday PM Round - 1:30 PM, Sunday AM Round - 8:30 AM

 

Entry Fee: $220 per player

 

Who can participate: Active Highland Springs Member

Registration is open to the first 72 players. Players registering after that number is reached will be placed on a waitlist and can be added if 4 more participants are added (76,80,84 and so on)

 

Description: 

Get ready for a fun and competitive team match play event! Participants will be divided into two teams: Red and Blue, during the pairings party on Wednesday September 24th.

Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm.  

 

The event features three formats, with players from each team facing off in head-to-head matchups. Each match is worth 1 point:

  • Win = 1 point

  • Tie = 0.5 point

  • Loss = 0 points

Match Schedule & Formats

  • Round 1: Saturday Morning
    Two-Person Best Ball (18 holes)
    Teams of two from each side compete; the best score per hole counts for each team.

    • Break for Lunch after round 1.

  • Round 2: Saturday Afternoon
    Two-Person Alternate Shot (18 holes)
    Pairs from each team take alternate shots, working together to outplay the opposing duo.

  • Round 3: Sunday Morning
    Individual Match Play (18 holes)
    One-on-one battles to determine the final points.

After all matches are completed we will have an awards lunch in the banquet room where the team with the most total points will be crowned the champions.

 

This event will be handicapped. We ask that you enter your handicap information at time of registration. If you do not have an active handicap or maintains it through something besides GHIN, please call the golf shop so we can assist in getting the information needed for them to participate.

 

Prizes will be paid out in golf shop credit book.
