PROVINCIAL TEAM ELIGIBILITY

 

The top three (3) finishers in the Boys & Girls Divisions will comprise the Junior Boys & Junior Girls Team NS.

The top U15 finisher in the Boys & Girls Divisions will qualify for the U15 Junior Championship.

 

A team member must be a resident of Nova Scotia and a member in good standing of Golf Canada and Golf NS. Golf NS requires players to have a Nova Scotia Health Card as proof of residency.

 

In the event of a tie for either the Championship, a team position or quota spot, a sudden-death playoff will be held.  Playoff details will be provided within the event's Notice to Competitors.

 

Golf Nova Scotia will adhere to the deadlines provided by Golf Canada.  Team positions and quota spots will only be filled with players who have registered for the corresponding Canadian Championship.  Please see the Championship registration, refund policy and withdrawal details on the Golf Canada Website.

 


 

CANADIAN JUNIOR GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP

 

Golf NS has been awarded three (3) quota spots for this event. These positions will be awarded to the top 3 placements of the 2026 Golf NS Boys/Girls Junior Championship. Should you have an interest in competing in the Canadian Junior Girls Championship, it is strongly recommended that you register for this event on the Golf Canada Website.

Golf NS has been awarded four (4) quota spots for this event. These positions will be awarded to the top 4 placements of the 2026 Golf NS Boys/Girls Junior Championship. Should you have an interest in competing in the Canadian Junior Boys Championship, it is strongly recommended that you register for this event on the Golf Canada Website.

CANADIAN U15 CHAMPIONSHIP

 

The Golf NS U15 Boys & Girls Champion (one male & female) will each earn a spot in the Canadian U15 Championship. There is no team component for this Canadian Championship. The Golf NS U15 Boys Champion and the Golf NS U15 Girls Champion will both receive gear package and funding for this new Canadian Championship. Should you have an interest in competing in the Canadian U15 Championship, it is strongly recommended that you register for this event on the Golf Canada Website.

TEAM NS GEAR PACKAGE: The 8 players who comprise the Junior Boys (3), Junior Girls (3) Team NS, and U15 Juniors (1 Boy/ 1 Girl) will be given a gear package from Golf NS.

 

National Championships Calendar

 

PROVINCIAL TEAM FUNDING

Golf NS will provide financial assistance, to all players representing Team Nova Scotia at the Canadian Junior Boys Championship (3), Canadian Junior Girls Championship (3), and Canadian U15 Junior Championship (2).  Funding is based on the location of the respective national championship. 

 

The funding breakdown is as follows:

 

  • NS / NB / PE - $788 per team member

  • NL / ON / QC - $1575 per team member

  • SK / MB / AB - $2362 per team member

  • BC - $3150 per team member

 

Team members will be responsible for booking all championship registration and travel details. Once a team member successfully completes the national championship, the funding support will be issued by the Golf NS office.  A team member must not be disqualified from the Championship as a result of conduct and making the cut is not required to receive the funding.
