ENTRY FEE: $4,500 per team; the entry fee includes; two single room accommodations onsite at Mission Resort for 4 days and 3 nights (arrive Sunday, Sunday, April 19th and depart Wednesday, April 22nd), green, cart, and range fees for each round (Practice and 3 Tournament Rounds), as well as tee gifts at registration, a Player Reception and lunch each tournament round.
ENTRY ELIGIBILITY, PROCEDURE & INFORMATION
Entries are open to male amateur golfers with one team member who has reached their 18th birthday on or before the first round of competition (April 20th) and one team member who has reached their 55th birthday on or before the first round of competition. All tournament applicants (both team members) must be a member of a TMGA Member Club or make an annual contribution ($100) to the Trans-Mississippi Golf Association. *Entries will be accepted at the discretion of the Trans-Mississippi Tournament Committee.
FORMAT & DIVISIONS
The Championship will be contested over 54 holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play with two Divisions; Scratch and Handicap. The scratch division teams must have a combined handicap index at 8.0 and under. The handicap division will have a combined handicap index over 8.0. The Junior and Senior players will play from separate tees and yardages, and separate Champions will be recognized in both divisions. *Teams with an index over 8.0 may choose to participate in the scratch division.
ON-SITE CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION
All competitors must register with Trans-Mississippi Golf Association staff prior to the start of the Championship. Players that do not register may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION. Official tournament registration will be held at Mission Resort + Club before the start of the first round or during the practice round.
STARTING TIMES & PAIRINGS
Starting times and pairings for the first and second rounds will be made available no later than Friday, April 10th by 5:00 PM. Copies will also be distributed at registration, online, in the TMGA Tournament Office and in the Golf Shop. Final round starting times and pairings will be available in the evening preceding play at www.trans-miss.org, in the TMGA Tournament Office and the Golf Shop. Final round starting times will be re-drawn based on total score following the second round of play.
PRACTICE ROUND INCLUDED
There is an official practice round for the tournament and it is included in your entry fee. The practice rounds will take place on the Las Colinas Course throughout the day on Sunday, April 19th. Any other practice rounds will be based on availability and must be made directly through the Golf Shop at the Player's own cost.
PARTNER SUBSTITUTION
Partner substitutions for the Trans-Mississippi Junior-Senior Championship are permitted. Substitutions for teams will be permitted prior to the start of competition and individuals must meet the minimum eligibility requirements for the Trans-Mississippi Golf Association, as well as the specific tournament requirements (i.e., age, USGA Handicap Index, etc.). A player may not select a substitute partner from those players who are already in the Championship field. Players who are on the waitlist are eligible substitutions. WITHDRAWAL & NO SHOW POLICY
If you find you cannot compete in the Championship, you must officially withdraw from the event by contacting Trans-Mississippi staff Amanda Kolb at (469) 458-0806 or email at akolb@trans-miss.org. If you do not officially withdraw, you may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from future Trans-Mississippi Championships. Any team withdrawing prior to the registration close deadline will receive a full refund, less a $100.00 administrative fee. Any withdrawals after the registration close deadline will not receive a refund unless a spot is filled by a team on the waitlist in the same division.
