Format: Individual Medal

 

 

9 Hole Entry Fee: £10.00

Handicap: 36-54 or non-handicappers*

 

 

These fun competitions are aimed at younger golfers, with a high handicap or without a handicap*.

 

*Any boy or girl without a handicap can play a nine-hole competition from handicap qualifying tees, so they can get a scorecard which can go towards gaining a handicap. Or they can play from forward tees, ie around 150 yards.

Event Information

 

Registration:

Please register for the event at least 45 minutes before your tee time at the registration desk in the clubhouse.

 

Practice facilities:

You will have access to all the practice facilities.

 

First Tee:

Please arrive at the first tee at least 10 minutes before your tee time.

 

Competition Format:

This is an Individual Medal Competition, played over nine holes. Your handicap for this competition will be your WHS handicap. Players without a handicap will play off 54.

 

Competition Tees:

Each Golf Club has a variety of tees to play from, so a decision on which tees to use will be made on the day.

Spectators:

Adults, family members, friends and supervised youngsters are welcome to walk around to watch the golf. Each group will have at least one adult with them.

Caddying is allowed, but we are keen for the juniors to make their own decisions on the golf course, ie just let the youngsters play golf.

Photographs and video footage:

We may take photographs and take video footage, to be made available for players to purchase or placed on social media. All GDPR rules will be followed at all times.

 

Speed of play - Ready Golf:

Players need to keep up with the group in front - not ahead of the group behind.

 

Weather:

We are in constant dialogue with the course, and will keep you informed if the event needs to be postponed.

 

Scorers Room:

After your round, all players in each group will need to go straight to the results desk to check, sign and hand in your scorecards.

 

Prize Presentation:

Prizes will be given out afterwards. Every player will receive a prize for taking part in the competition.

 

No Attendance:

If you cannot attend the event, please let us know asap. Once entries close, there is a ‘no refund’ policy in place.

The startsheet will be confirmed within 24 hours of entries closing.

 

The tee times may change slightly in the days ahead of the event, possibly on the morning of the competition, so please keep an eye on the latest startsheet.

Order of Merit & Grand Final

 

Order of Merit:

 

Progress Junior Golf may run a Wonders Series Order of Merit during the season.

Grand Final:

 

Every player who has competed in a Wonders Series event will be invited to play in the end-of-season Grand Final.
