How to Play:

Yankees vs Red Sox Golf Tournament

Here’s the simplified breakdown:

Format

  • 18 golf holes = 2 baseball games
  • Each 9 holes = 1 “9-inning” baseball game
  • Each hole = 1 inning
  • Every foursome has:
    • 2 Yankees fans
    • 2 Red Sox fans
  • Your side is a 2-man team.

Winning a 9-hole segment earns 1 point for your overall Yankees or Red Sox side.

Example

If:

  • You make a net birdie = 2 runs
  • Your partner makes a net par = 1 run

Your team scores:

  • 3 total runs for that inning (hole)

Scoring System (Modified Stableford)

Your score on each hole converts into “runs” like baseball.

Match Structure

  • First 9 holes = Game 1
  • Second 9 holes = Game 2 (“nightcap”)

Important tie rules:

  • Tie after 9 holes in Game 2 = “double or nothing” worth 2 points
  • Overall tournament tie after all matches:
    • Each team selects 1 player
    • 3-hole putting contest decides winner
