Welcome to the Senior Club Championship 2026

Event Overview

This is the Senior Club Championship.

The event will be played over two days in a stroke-play format, with champions crowned based on overall performance.

All play will follow the Rules of Golf as governed by Golf Canada, along with the local rules outlined below.

Date

August 15 & 16, 2026

Cost

$25 per player
(Paid in the Pro Shop during check-in on Saturday)

Tees

  • Men: White Tees
  • Ladies: Red Tees
  • Super Senior Men (Sunday Only): Green Tees
  • Super Senior Ladies (Sunday Only): Red Tees

Prizing

  • Credit Book winnings awarded for top scores
  • Trophies awarded for 1st place gross winners (in addition to prizing)

KP’s (Closest to the Pin)

Day One:

  • 4 KP’s – Men
  • 4 KP’s – Ladies
  • 4 KP’s – Super Seniors Men
  • 4 KP’s – Super Seniors Ladies

Day Two:

  • 4 KP’s – Men
  • 4 KP’s – Ladies
  • 4 KP’s – Super Seniors Men
  • 4 KP’s – Super Seniors Ladies

Rules

All play is governed by the Rules of Golf (Golf Canada) in conjunction with the following:

General

  • Play the ball as it lies (Summer Rules in effect)
  • Areas marked with white paint are Ground Under Repair (GUR)
  • Gardens are considered GUR

Tee Times

  • Players must be at their assigned tee time
  • Up to 5 minutes late: 2-stroke penalty
  • More than 5 minutes late: Disqualification

Pace of Play

  • Expected round time: 4 hours 15 minutes
  • Players must keep up with the group ahead
  • After two warnings, penalties may be applied

Provisional Balls

  • Players should play a provisional ball when there is doubt about the ball’s location

Special Course Rules

Hole #3 – Sod-Faced Bunker:

  • The bunker face is not considered closely mown
  • For an unplayable lie, players may use the drop area (top right of bunker) with a 1-stroke penalty

Power Lines:

  • If a ball strikes a power line, the shot must be replayed without penalty

Hole 10 – Safety Netting:

  • Considered an abnormal course condition
  • Relief is allowed if it interferes with the stance or swing
  • Area behind netting is a No Play Zone
  • Relief must be taken with a 1-stroke penalty

Holes 7 & 13 – Drop Zones:

  • If a ball enters the penalty area from the tee, the player may use the designated drop zone with a 1-stroke penalty

Lost Ball / Out of Bounds

  • No local rule allowing a fairway drop is in effect
  • Standard stroke and distance apply

Playing a Second Ball

  • A player may play a second ball when unsure of a ruling (Rule 20.1c(3))
  • Must declare intention and report to the committee before submitting scorecard

Scorecards

  • Scorecards must be signed by both player and marker
  • Must be submitted immediately after the round to the Pro Shop
  • Any rulings must be addressed before submission

Tiebreakers

  • Modified countback (last 18, 9, 6, 3, 1 holes)
  • An additional playoff format may be used if required for the overall winners
