IMPORTANT:  Participants must first register in the MSGA TOURNAMENT DIRECTORY to play in any MSGA event.  This is a one-time registration, and is for the JUNIOR who is playing, NOT the parent who is applying on behalf of the junior.  Each child needs to register separately.  If your child has registered before, simply sign in using your child's login when registering for the event. 

 

MSGA Membership (with a GHIN®#) is required.  Junior MSGA Memberships for 18 and under are free.  If you need to join or renew your 2026 MSGA Membership (GHIN®#), online registration/renewal is available for most clubs at msgagolf.org/join-or-renew, or you may contact your home club directly.

OVERVIEW

 

All juniors who are not exempt must qualify for the 2026 State Junior Tournament through their local qualifier.  The current Exemption List is under Event Information > Exempt Players.

 

  • Players will be able to select ANY ONE of the five Montana State Junior Championships Qualifiers to participate in.
  • Players must have an MSGA membership (GHIN#). Juniors 18 and under are free.
  • The top 3 players in each age division will qualify for the State Tournament at Lake Hills Golf Club in Billings, MT, June 18-20.
  • All Players who will be playing in the Junior Qualifier must complete an event registration.
  • This registration is for the local qualifier only. 

 

 

REGISTRATION

 

Registration Opens:  March 15th at 9:00 am

Registration Closes:  May 22nd at 11:00 pm

 

Entry Fee is $30 - Local Qualifier. 

 

Cancellations will be subject to a $10 service charge.  No refunds will be allowed after the close of registration.  Participants who qualify, and those exempt from a qualifier, will be asked in a future communication to complete a registration for the State Tournament, with an additional $50 Entry Fee.

Your entry will be confirmed by email.  Unless you have an entry confirmation, you are not officially entered in the qualifier.  No entries will be accepted at the host facility.  A list of confirmed players will be posted on the Player Information > Players page.

 

Eligibility

Open to all junior boy and girl golfers who are a resident of Montana (attend a Montana school) and who have not reached the age of 19 or attended college by June 20, 2026. 

 

Player must be a current member of the Montana State Golf Association.  Contestants without an MSGA Member Number (GHIN®#) will not be accepted.  Juniors 18 and under are free.  To join or renew online, click here, or contact an MSGA club directly.  Youth on Course members are also MSGA members (with a GHIN® #), if joined with a Montana zip code.  For assistance, please call 1-800-628-3752, ext 1.

Practice Round

Juniors Rate for Practice Rounds is $30 for 18 holes.  Players may call Sidney Country Club, 406-433-1894, 2 weeks in advance to schedule a tee time.

 

Tee Times

Tee Times will begin at 9:00am.  Individual player tee times will be emailed and posted to this portal by May 26th.  Please arrive at your designated tee at least 15 minutes prior to your tee time.

Refund Policy
