Welsh U16 Championship – Player Information

August 20-21, 2026

Format                    36 Holes Stroke Play. 18 holes on day one and 18 holes on day two.

 

Tee Times             First round- Published online here & via email. Round 2 in reverse standing order published at end of                                                   play of day 1.

 

 

 

Withdrawals                  Players withdrawing should email competitions@walesgolf.org

 

Practice Round              August 19th, book online here.  

 

Practice Facilities         8 Bay covered driving range, £4 for 40 balls, Academy grassed area alongside the range for chipping and pitching. Putting green next to 1st tee.

 

Caddies & Spectators     Caddies are not allowed, but spectators are.

 

Catering                          Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. At player’s own expense.

 

Clubhouse & Pro Shop    Open 1 hour prior to the start of each day’s play.

On-course Championship Information and Scoring

 

Scorecards, Pin Positions and Local Rules to be collected at the 1^st tee from the starter each morning. Live scoring to be completed by the players (one in each group) via smart phones.

Parental Consent and Code of Conduct  Please complete the Online Parental Consent Form. This must be done prior to the start of the championship otherwise you may be withdrawn from the event.
