The following Terms of Competition, together with any additions or amendments as published by the Tournament Committee at the host club, will apply to this tournament.

 

1. GENERAL

a. The SGA-BFG Infinity Mandai Junior Golf Series 2026 – will be played at Mandai Executive Golf Course on selected Wednesday, commencing from 4 February 2026.

b. It will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by R&A Rules Limited and with the Local Rules approved by the Organizing Committee.

 

2. ELIGIBILITY

a. Entries are open to boy and girls who are Singaporeans or Permanent Residents of ages 5 to 11 years old as of 01 January 2026.

b. Players must hold a valid WHS Handicap Index or Proficiency Certificate (PC). Age eligibility is as follows:

c. Golfers who do not meet the minimum eligibility criteria may be considered for acceptance by the Organising Committee on a case-to-case basis.

d. They must conform in all respects to the Rules of Amateur Status as laid down by the R&A Rules Ltd.

 

3. TOURNAMENT FORMAT OF PLAY

a. Each leg of the SGA-BFG Infinity Mandai Junior Golf Series will be played over 1 round of 9 holes.

b.  The player with the highest Stableford points in each Division will be the winner.

 

c. Point system used in this event's Stableford format is as follows:

  • Eagle - 6 points
  • Birdie - 5 points
  • Par - 4 points
  • Bogey - 3 points
  • Double Bogey - 2 points
  • Triple Bogey - 1 point

 

d. Players are required to cease in the playing of any hole if the number of strokes they have taken has exceeded the fixed score at each hole (0 points) and move on to the next hole at the soonest possible.

e. There will be two Divisions – (1) “Boys” Division, (2) “Girls” Division per leg.

f. The OC reserves the right to alter the divisions between legs.

 

4. SIZE OF FIELD

a. The allocation of entries to the various divisions will be determined by the OC and is final. Field size is limited to 30.

b. The final roster/draw list shall be based on a rotation basis. For example, a player who has been waitlisted for the first leg will be given priority for the next leg provided there’s an available slot. Extra slots will be based on a first come first served.

c. The OC reserves the right to refuse any entry without assigning any reason for such refusal. The decisions of the OC as to the acceptance or refusal of any entry shall be final.

 

5. ENTRY

a. The entry fee is S$25.00 nett which is applicable only for those who are not in the SGA Future Squad.  All fees are inclusive of GST and must be settled upon registration.

b. There will be no refund of the entry fee after the closing date.

c. Refund will only be given when provided with a medical certificate. It must be submitted by 9:00am the next day after the event.

d. Entries must be submitted through the official online entry form on SGA’s website and Golf Genius Portal.

e. Participants must check their emails, GolfGenius Event Portal or the SGA Website for confirmation of participation.

f. The OC reserves the right to limit, accept, or reject entries.

 

6. OPENING & CLOSING DATE

a. Registration will open 4 weeks before event date on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 09:00.

b. Registration will close 3 weeks before event date on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 09:00.

c. Players will be notified regarding their status via email latest by Friday 5:00 PM before the event. Payment will only be processed once the player is on the confirmed roster.

d. Late entries may be accepted at the sole discretion of the OC.

 

7. DRAW & TEE BOX

a. The draw will be made by the OC prior to the start of the tournament. All players will play from the Red tee boxes.

b. Players shall start at the time & in the order indicated in the draw. No substitution of players & changes shall be permitted after the draw has been made.

c. Drawlist will be out by 2 business days before the leg. Players must visit the SGA website or the event portal to check their participation.

 

8. TIME OF STARTING

a. Players shall start at the time and in the order as indicated in the draw. No substitution of players and changes in starting times shall be permitted after the draw list has been released.

b. The OC reserves the right to fix and/or alter the starting times.

c. Start times will be from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

 

 

9. SUBMISSION OF SCORECARD

a. Players should check their cards in the returning area (scoring table) and ensure that they are correct and signed. Any doubtful points should be settled with the OC before returning the scorecard.

b. A player is deemed to have returned his scorecard and no further amendments may be made once he has left the returning area (scoring table) or the demarcated area where they exist.

c. A player who submits a wrong score will be disqualified and could be suspended from participating in future legs of this series.

 

10. DECISION OF TIES

a. In the event of a tie for first place, the winner shall be decided by a countback of the last 9, 6, 3,1 holes.

b. Ties for all other positions will be decided by a countback of the last 9, 6, 3, 1 holes.

c. Countback will be used to decide the placing of the event.

d. Retain ties will be used for Junior Development Order of Merit (JDOOM) points allocation.

 

11. SUSPENSION OF PLAY FOR DANGEROUS SITUATION (NOTE TO RULE 5.7b)

a. A suspension of play for a dangerous situation and the resumption of play shall be signalled using the host club’s warning system. The penalty for breach of Rule 5.7b is Disqualification.

b. All practice areas that are in open areas shall be closed during suspension for a dangerous situation until the OC has declared them open.

12. INCLEMENT WEATHER

a. In the event that the round cannot be completed due to inclement weather, the round will be abandoned or cancelled. 

 

13. BUGGIES / MOTORISED TROLLEY

a. The use of buggies and motorized trolleys in this tournament is prohibited.
b. Players are to walk and carry/hand-trolley their golf bags.

 

14. PACE OF PLAY

a. Rule 5.6b (Prompt Pace of Play) will be strictly enforced using the ‘SGA Individual Pace of Play policy. See separate memorandum to players for the Pace of Play guidelines.

 

15. DISPUTES OR DOUBTS AS TO CORRECT PROCEDURE

a. If there is a doubt as to the correct procedures, players are to refer to the Tournament Referee. If a Tournament Referee is not immediately available, a player (having notified his marker) may elect to play two balls in accordance with Rule 20.1c(3) and obtain a ruling at the conclusion of the round, prior to signing and the return of the scorecard.

b. No spectators (including parents) are to enter into any discussion on a matter under dispute.

 

16. SGA REFEREES

a. The SGA Referee’s decision on all matters pertaining to the Rules of Golf is final.

 

17. INSURANCE

a. All players are required to have appropriate golfing insurance. 

 

18. GROOVE AND PUNCH MARK SPECIFICATIONS

a. Player’s clubs must conform to the groove and punch mark specifications in the Rules of Golf that are effective from 1 January 2010.

 

19. PRIZES

a. Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.

b. All legs of this series will be counted towards the JDOOM. 

c. Participants who are in the top 10 will be given JDOOM points.

For ties, all points that would have been awarded accordingly will be pooled and divided equally among those who are tied.

d. Results will be announced online through the SGA website. Prizes will be collected at the SGA Office at a given schedule or will be distributed accordingly to the OC's discretion.

 

20. DRESS CODE

a. Players must be properly attired on the golf course. Blue jeans, designer jeans, round neck T-shirts and tank tops are prohibited. Golf shirts must be worn and shorts must be no shorter than mid-thigh (no jean shorts).

b. This dress code will be used in conjunction with any additional dress code restrictions of the host club. Players violating this dress code will not be permitted to start the tournament.

c. A violation of this dress code by a player during the stipulated round must be rectified without undue delay or the player will not be allowed to continue play.

d. Soft spikes shoes are compulsory.

 

21. CONDUCT OF PLAYERS

a. All players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, irrespective of how competitive they may be.

b. Any action contrary to the spirit of the game such as abusive language, throwing of clubs, or other disruptive behaviour, will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification. If a player commits a serious breach of conduct, he may be barred from entry to future tournaments.

c. The use of mobile phones (except in an emergency) and smoking are prohibited on the course.

 

22. SPECTATORS/PARENTS

a. Spectators and Parents will not be allowed on the golf course at all times, except for the parents who volunteer as chaperones.

 

23. CHAPERONES
a. Chaperones should be dressed in proper golfing attire.

b. The chaperone's role is to ensure the safety of the players in their flight.

 

24. AMENDMENTS TO CONDITIONS

a. The OC reserves the right to amend these conditions of competition.
