Early Bird Puetz Golf Club Member Entry Fee: $115

and have an optional discount on side games!

FORMAT & SCORING

Tournament Format: Individual Gross & Net by Division
Scoring Method: Stableford Points

 

With limited daylight we will use the Stableford Points scoring method to assist with the Pace of Play

 

Points will be awarded as follows for both Gross & Net Payouts:

  • 5 Points: Double Eagle
  • 4 Points: Eagle
  • 3 Points: Birdie
  • 2 Points: Par
  • 1 Point:  Bogey
  • 0 Points: Double Bogey or Higher

Once a player has reached NET Double Bogey they are required to "pick up"
and begin moving toward the next hole.

POLICIES

Course Etiquette

 

Members must follow course dress code and local rules. All course staff must be treated with respect.

 

Slow Play: Non responsive players to slow play warnings and/or a player showing disrespect to a course marshal may result in a penalty stroke or disqualification.

Winnings

 

Players who earn tournament winnings will be emailed the week following the tournament.

Tournament Winnings can be used at all Puetz Golf stores and/or online at PuetzGolf.com.
To redeem online: Instructions can be found HERE.
To redeem in-store: Your Tournament Card Number (you will receive in the email) will be attached to your customer account. Either show this email to your cashier, or ask them to look up your Tournament Card Number.

Your total Tournament Winnings are tracked by the card number that appears in the email. Use of this Tournament Card constitutes acceptance of the following terms:

  • Redeemable for merchandise and services at all Puetz Golf stores and online.
  • Card balance may be checked in-store or online.
  • Winnings cannot be redeemed for cash or tournament fees.
  • Other restrictions may apply.
  • Winnings must be spent before 4/30/2027

 

Guests

 
  • Guests are welcome. A $15 fee will be added above the Puetz Golf Club member price.
  • Guests must notify Puetz Golf of their active USGA index and home club.

 

Withdrawal or Tournament Cancellation Policy

 

Players entered in a tournament that need to cancel or withdraw must contact Customer Service at:

If you must withdraw, refunds are conditioned as follows:

  • Withdraw early; refund goes to your original payment method. Green fees cannot be refunded after payment date required by course management. Purse fees will refund back to payment method.
  • Withdraw day of play; No refund. Funds go to the purse.

If the tournament is cancelled due to course closure, registrations will be refunded to method of payment.

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How does "Live Scoring" work and do I have to record scores on my phone?

We will be using live scoring from Golf Genius starting in 2026. One player from each foursome must input the scores in the Golf Genius App on their phone after each hole. Paper scorecards will still be provided, but the official score will be what is posted online. Be sure to double check carefully after the round.

 

Will Puetz post my score to GHIN?

Assuming the format and the time of year allow for posting scores, Puetz will post all scores after the conclusion of play. This event's scores do not qualify as Tournament scores, for posting purposes.

 

Can I choose a tee time?

You can choose early/middle/late preference when purchasing entry into a tournament. Preferred tee times will be based on request by entry order.

 

Can I choose who I play with?

You can enter in the names of people you want to play with or other preferences/comments.

 

How much am I paying to the purse?

$50+ of every entry fee gets added to the purse.

 

What does the purse pay for specifically?

The purse gets split into multiple games including net, gross, different flights (based on age/gender/handicap/field size).

 

What are the side games?

We offer four different side games: Closest to the Hole (Par 3's), Skins Game, Better Nine, 2-Person Best Ball and Deuce Pot. $20 each (look for the Early Bird discount!)

  • Closest to the Hole: The closest first shot from the tee on par 3's win. Awarded per flight.
  • Skins Game: Best score on an individual hole. Gross and Net - Awarded per flight.
  • Deuce Pot: Paid out for anyone scoring a 2 on any hole. Gross only over the entire field.
  • 2-Person Best Ball: Best total score with a partner. Gross and Net over the entire field.
  • Better Nine: Count your best nine holes from the front OR the back nines. Gross and Net - Awarded per flight.
