REGISTRATION

All contestants must register in person with WA Golf at The Home Course prior to teeing off. 

The following registration period has been scheduled inside the John M. Bodenhamer Pavilion:

  • Friday, February 7: 8:30 A.M. – 9:45 A.M.

 

STARTING TIME AND PAIRINGS

  • 10:00 A.M. Shotgun Start – Please be at your hole and ready to start on the air horn blast promptly at 10:00 A.M.

 

PREFERRED PAIRING REQUESTS WILL BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION IF NOTED ON THE ENTRY REGISTRATION. PHONE/EMAIL REQUESTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE ENTRY DEADLINE.

 

FORMAT

18-hole gross and net 2-Person Scramble Competition. There is a Men’s and Women’s Division with flights in each. Flights will be determined by team course handicap.

 

COURSE YARDAGE
Course yardage is subject to change based on weather/course conditions but this is a good guide for those that wish to play practice rounds from a similar yardage. 

Men will play from the White WSGA tees markers at 6,299 yards
Women will play from the Gold WSGA tee markers at 5,442 yards

 

PRACTICE ROUND

Contestants wishing to play a practice round prior to the event can contact The Home Course at

(253) 964-0520. Rates and availability are at the discretion of the club. Practice rounds are NOT included in entry fee and are NOT hosted for WSGA Winter Series events.

 

DRESS CODE

Men: WA Golf expects all contestants and their caddies to wear suitable attire on the host club property throughout the duration of the event. Suitable attire does not include cutoffs, tank tops, jeans or denim of any kind or color, tee shirts, sweat pants or unkempt clothing of any kind. Failure to adhere to the dress code may result in disqualification and removal from the course.

 

Women: WA Golf expects all contestants and their caddies to wear suitable attire on the host club property throughout the duration of the tournament. Suitable attire does not include cutoffs, short shorts, tank tops, halters, jeans or denim of any kind or color, tee shirts, bare midriff, spandex, sweat pants or unkempt clothing of any kind. Failure to adhere to the dress code may result in disqualification and removal from the course.

 

CARTS

The use of automotive carts during all Winter Series Tournaments is permitted. Power carts can be reserved during registration for $35 per team. If you would like a cart but did not reserve one during registration, contact WA Golf.

 

GOLF BALLS

Only brands of golf balls on the USGA's latest list of conforming balls may be used.

 

CADDIES

Host club caddies will not be available. A player may provide his/her own caddie.

 

WARM-UP RANGE BALLS

Hosted warm-up range balls will be provided to participants on the driving range, prior to the round, starting at 8:30 A.M.

 

FOOD SERVICE (NO-HOST)

The Golf House Grill will be open from 8:00 a.m. – dusk with full breakfast and lunch service available.

 

AWARDS CEREMONY
An awards presentation will take place after the round in the John M. Bodenhamer Pavilion. The awards presentation will be held immediately following play as soon as the results have been calculated. All gift certificates will be awarded at this time.

 

PRIZES

Merchandise certificates will be awarded to high finishing teams within each flight both gross and net. NOTE: All merchandise certificates must be redeemed at The Home Course.

 

NOTE REGARDING TIES: Merchandise certificates and Winter Series Challenge points will be split for all ties.

 

HANDICAPS

Team handicaps will be determined by combining 35% of the low player’s course handicap and 15% of the high player’s course handicap. The WSGA will update contestants’ handicap indexes as of the February 1, 2019 GHIN Handicap Revision and will convert them in accordance with the slope rating used for the event.

 

CODE OF CONDUCT

Unacceptable conduct or behavior on the golf course or anywhere on club property will not be tolerated and may be grounds for penalty or immediate disqualification, at any time, from any WA Golf event. The following are examples of unacceptable conduct or behavior:

  • Loud, abusive and/or profane language
  • Intentionally throwing and/or breaking equipment or the like (club, ball, etc.) in anger or frustration
  • Intentionally damaging host club, WA Golf, and/or fellow participant property
  • Abuse of any kind of host club officials, volunteers or staff; and/or WA Golf volunteers, staff or fellow participants
  • Public criticism of host club, officials, volunteers or staff; and/or WA Golf volunteers, staff or fellow participants
  • Intentionally engaging in a criminal act
  • Engaging in activities that result in the potential endangerment of others
  • Intentionally violating the Rules of Golf
  • Intentionally violating stated club policy
  • Violation of WA Golf Dress Code
  • Violation of WA Golf Footwear Policy

*The Committee in charge of the competition shall be the sole judge of determining Conduct Code violations.
