Welcome to the 2026 Silicon Valley Amateur being held Jan. 12-14 at Stanford GC. Below is information to help you plan.

 

TOURNAMENT PORTAL
Pairings and results will be available on our Golf Genius portal, https://ag26silicon.golfgenius.com. We will have pairings for you no later than Tuesday, January 6. We will be teeing off the 1st and 10th tees between 8:00-10:00am.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS
- Participants may call Stanford GC to book a practice round (650) 724-0944 starting on January 1.
- First available practice round date is January 2. Availability is limited each day and is on a first come first serve basis.
- Practice round green fees are at a rate of $190/person and do not include a cart fee. There is a high probability of the facility not having carts available both during practice and competition rounds, based on rainfall recently.

 

PRACTICE RANGE
- The Stanford Golf Driving Range is located across the street from the golf course at 51 Campus Drive, Stanford CA, 94305
- Please note the driving range is not accessible via golf cart or walking. Players are advised to drive to the range before arriving to the golf course
- During the dates of the event participants will be given complimentary practice balls daily only before their round. The range will open at 6:45am and players will hit from a designated teeing area.

 

TEES
- Championship (Men): Cardinal Tees at ~6700 yards
- Championship (Women): White Tees at ~5800 yards
- Senior Division: Black Tees at ~6200 yards

 

SCORING
All scoring will be electronic using Golf Genius. I encourage you to download the app if you don't have it already. Each group will be given a unique GGID to use when entering scores and we will verify at the scoring table after the round.

 

There will be a cut following the conclusion of Round 2. 

 

Championship - Cut to the top 30 and ties.

Senior Championship - Cut to the top 9 and ties.

 

SCORE POSTING
We will post scores to GHIN after each round.

 

CADDIES/CARTS
See note above about possibility of not being available. Carts are not included in the entry fee. Players may walk and carry their own bag or have a friend caddie. Carts may or may not be available, based on course conditions, but are charged at a rate of $35/person. No spectator carts are allowed, but spectators may walk -- keeping a safe distance and out of harm's way at all times.

WITHDRAWALS

Per the refund policy agreed to during registration:

 

  • More than 21 days prior to the first round: Full refund less a $75
  • 7-21 days prior to the first round: 50% credit of the entry fee.
  • Less than 7 days prior to the first round: No refunds are provided.
  • A wait list does not change the refund policy.

 

We'll use email to communicate any weather issues or other last-minute changes.
