About Junior Golf
Princeville Makai Golf Club offers a fun, structured junior golf program designed to introduce young golfers to the game while helping them grow athletically, socially, and competitively. Juniors are grouped by age and skill level using Golf’s American Developmental Model (ADM), ensuring each child develops at a pace that is appropriate and enjoyable.
Our program is divided into three development stages:

FUNdamentals (Ages 6–8)

Learn to Play (Ages 9–12)

Play to Improve (Ages 12+)
Parents may choose between a 6-week or 12-week session:

6 weeks: $300

12 weeks: $550
FUNdamentals (Ages 6–8)
This stage focuses on building athletic skills and introducing golf in a fun, game-based environment.

Improve fundamental movement skills

Emphasize athletic development: agility, balance, coordination, and speed

Learn basic golf skills and etiquette through engaging games and activities
Learn to Play (Ages 9–12)
Juniors continue developing athletic ability while learning core golf skills and beginning on-course experiences.

Further develop fundamental movement and golf skills

Build strength using age-appropriate bodyweight exercises

Improve endurance through continuous activity games and relays

Invited to play on-course matches every other week

May play golf with a parent or in supervised group matches (not independently yet)
Play to Improve (Ages 12+)
This stage is designed for juniors ready to advance their skills and gain more independence on the course.

Introduce aerobic training to improve speed, strength, flexibility, and overall performance

Encourage regular flexibility and mobility training

Spend increased time on the golf course with greater independence

Invited to play on-course matches every other week

Eligible to walk the golf course after 3:00 PM for $45, without an adult
