Welcome to the Two Man Shootout 2026
Welcome to the 2 Man Shootout!
The Two Man Shootout has been organised by Member, Dave Chilton for more than 30 years.
In 2025, the Pro Shop took over the reigns at Dave's request.
The event is a 36 hole, pairs event. This year it is played over the May 2nd and 3rd weekend with tee times beginning around 8am through 10am each day.
Golfers create a partnership with a player where their combined playing handicap from the Blue/White Combination Tee is at least 18.
If you're unsure what your playing handicap is come and ask in the Pro Shop, or open the tab under Tournament Info that states Conversion Chart.
The minimum handicap figure has risen from 13 to 18 this year as so few pairs came close to 13 last year. Many pairs had combined handicaps in the 20's, 30's and even 40's.
With the event being a Gross scoring event, this offered little chance of victory to many of the teams. Hopefully raising the number will bring more teams into the mix.
UPDATE: Pairs with handicap combinations below 18, but 14 and above will be able to enter the event and compete. They will be handicapped as follows:
14 handicap - +4 strokes per day
15 handicap - +3 strokes per day
16 handicap - +2 strokes per day
17 handicap - +1 stroke per day
- Holes 1-6. The first six holes each day are Chapman Alternate. Both players tee off, then play their partners ball, then choose to pick one ball up and play out the hole by alternate shot.
- Holes 7-12. The second six holes each day are Best Ball. Each player plays their own ball into the hole, with the low score counting.
- Holes 13-18. The last six holes are Scramble. Each player hits, selects the best position and each hit again. This continues until the ball is in the hole.
