Format including Handicap Allowance

Individual 18 Holes Medal Strokeplay.

The handicap index limit is 18.4, but entries will be restricted to the lowest 60 EXACT handicap.

Indices on the final day for entries, with a ballot on ties if necessary.

On the day of competition course handicaps will be limited to the maximum HI limit for entry. Where there is a ballot, the HI at the time of the ballot will be used.

Eligibility

This competition will be played under the R&A Rules of Amateur Status (Jan 2022).

Entry is open to Amateur male members over the age of 55 on the day of competition.

Entrants must be members of Golf Clubs affiliated to Worcestershire County Golf Ltd,

To be played at Worcester Golf & Country Club on Monday, July 06, 2026.

Entry Fee £25.

Payment is required at time of entry. Where payment is not received entries will not be accepted.

Trophies & Ties

The Championship & Nevil Carroll Salver will be awarded to the player with the Best Gross Score.

In the event of a tie for the Nevil Carroll Salver there will be an immediate play-off over holes nominated by the Championship Committee on a sudden death basis.

The player with the Best Nett Score for the Championship will be awarded the Denis Hayes Salver.

For all prizes other than the Nevill Carroll Salver the competitor with the better or best score on countback over the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes will be declared the winner.

When the Result is Confirmed

A score will be considered returned once it has been placed in the provided box.

The result will be announced on the day of the competition after all the scorecards have been returned, checked, and verified.

A player may win any or all trophies and their prizes. A player who has won a trophy cannot win a non-trophy prize. A player may win only one non-trophy prize.

Additional Information

Under the direction of the Championship Committee, the Senior Champion will be invited to represent Worcestershire in the England Golf Champion of Champions Tournament..

The players with the best 4 Gross scores will qualify to play in the Worcestershire Senior Matchplay Championships
