Format including Handicap Allowance
18 holes Stableford - 95% course handicap allowance.
Entry is limited to players with handicap indices between 9.6 and 28.4 (inclusive) on the date of entry.
On the day of competition course handicaps will be limited to the maximum HI limit (28.4) for entry.
Eligibility
This competition will be played under the R&A Rules of Amateur Status (Jan 2022).
Only amateur male members of Golf Clubs affiliated to Worcestershire County Golf Ltd (WCG) can enter.
Note. All players for a club team must have that club as their "Home" club for WHS handicapping purposes
Entry Requirements and Dates
To be played at Stourbridge Golf Club on Friday, August 14, 2026
Entry is limited to players with handicap indices between 9.6 and 28.4 (inclusive) on the date of entry.
Each WCG Affiliated Club may enter ONE or TWO teams of 3 players.
Entry will close at Tuesday, August 04, 2026 at 01:00 AM, after which a draw will be made, and tee times made available.
There is no entry fee for this competition as all Club Team events are FREE under the Affiliation Fee Agreement.
Note: This is a club team entry, and players MUST ensure that their club is aware and in agreement with the team entered.
Trophies & Ties
The winning team will take the David McDermott Bowl, whilst the player with the best individual nett score will win the Brenda Smith Cup.
In the event of a tie for the David McDermott Bowl, the winners will be the team who return the best nett aggregate score by countback over the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes.
In the event of a tie for the Brenda Smith Cup, the winner will be the player with the best nett score on countback over the last 9, 6, 3 or 1 holes.
In addition, there will be prizes for the best team and individual scores.
When the Result is Confirmed
A score will be considered returned once it has been placed in the provided box.
The result will be announced on the day of the competition after all the scorecards have been returned, checked, and verified.
A player may win any or all trophies and their prizes. A player who has won a trophy cannot win a non-trophy prize. A player may win only one non-trophy prize.

The Worcestershire County Golf (WCG) General Terms of Competition apply to this event. Players should make themselves aware of the WCG Pace of Play and Transport policies and the WCG Code of Conduct for participants. See the General Terms and Policies page for details.
Additional Information
After entry has closed a draw sheet showing start times using 3 flights will be made available on the County website.
Changes to players or start times must be communicated to the County Secretary; clubs cannot have more than one player from each team in each flight.
Players must not exchange times without informing the County Secretary.
