Terms of Competition
The 2026 Fiji Golf Invitational (“the Tournament”) shall be under the management and control of PaR nz Corporate Events Limited t/as PaR nz Golfing Holidays, PaR nz whose decision on all matters relating to the Tournaments shall be final.
General
- The Tournament will be (five rounds) of golf to be conducted on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the tournament week with Tuesday set aside as a rest day.
- Entries shall only be received on-line https://www.parnz.co.nz/play-abroad with a deposit payment then later invoiced on-line for full payment before 20 April 2026.
- Entries will be taken up to the Tournament date unless filled prior.
- The field is limited to the first 120 entries received and confirmed on-line with a deposit payment on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. All golfers entering on-line will receive an electronic confirmation of entry and payment receipt.
- The Tournament is open to amateur men and women golfers, with a current World Golf Handicap.
- Competitors must have an official New Zealand DOTGOLF Handicap, Australian Golf Link GA Handicap, Fiji Golf Link GA Handicap or an international equivalent.
- The Fiji Golf Invitational is a pair’s event (2 players) of any male, female combination.
- The maximum course starting handicap for men is 28 and women 36. The committee accepts that handicaps may alter from the time of entry to the start of the tournament.
- Your initial (Round 1) playing handicap is based on your current affiliated handicap index from DotGolf or GA from Australia Golf Link as of Friday 19 June 2026. The slope rating on the Natadola Bay Course, your starting course will be applied as per the USGA Slope System.
- Golfers score their daily rounds using the PaR nz Points System ™ and where handicaps will change daily.
- For daily pair’s scores, both players scores count.
- Overall pairs winners are determined by the highest aggregate points over the 5 competition rounds.
- Winners will be announced during at the Farwell & Prize Giving Dinner on Friday 26 June 2026.
- If the pairs scores are tied after 5 rounds, a count-back to determine the winners or placegetter will be conducted as follows. A pairs score-count back of the last round (Round 5), Round 4, and if still tied then Round 3, then Round 2 and then Round 1. If still tied, the count-back will be decided by lot.
- To comply with Licence Laws, all players must be over 20 years of age, as of the first day of the tournament (20 June 2026).
- In the event that weather conditions prevent all the players from finishing their round, that Competition round will be cancelled and the tournament reduced accordingly.
- Should any day forced to be abandoned or cancelled the number of tournament rounds contributing to the overall team and individual points will be reduced accordingly.
- All prizes will be distributed in accordance with the Rules of Amateur Golf Status.
- The Tournament will be conducted in accordance with the Rules of Golf, Health & Safety Notices and such Local Rules as approved by the PaR nz.
- All competitors are responsible for all damage to hotel or golf course property including any damage in hotel rooms and / or golf carts.
- PaR nz Golfing Holidays reserve the right to change golf courses and venues to that which is advertised providing a replacement of a similar standard is substituted.
- The PaR nz reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone, without having to give a reason.
- Players are expected to conform to all rules and regulations as may be issued.
- The PaR nz reserves the right to amend any condition and / or to alter the number of playing days in the case of inclement weather.
