Men’s Club Championship
The Club Championship is the most prestigious competition played in the season. Competitors will elect to play the gross or net division. The winner of the gross division will have his name etched on the clubhouse board for posterity. This event is open to competitors 18 and older. This event will be played over 2 consecutive weekends beginning with a qualifier on Day 1.
Qualifier Format:
18 Hole Stroke Play. The results of the qualifier will determine seeding and cut lines for match play brackets. Competitors must select if they are entering the gross or net division when registering for the qualifier. There will be a maximum of 8 competitors advancing into the Gross Division from the qualifier. The winner from the Gross Division does not need to qualify and moves onto match play as the 1 seed.
Tee Times:
Starting times will begin at 7:00am. Competitors starting times will be determined after registration closes and there are no pairing requests.
Qualifier Pairings:
Pairings will be determined based on your division. Order of play will begin with Gross followed by the NET. Competitors must tee off according to their division and there are no pairing requests.
Men’s Championship Division: Gross
Competitors will play from the Gold Tees
Competitors will play an 18-hole stroke play round to determine their seed for match play. The Top 8 competitors from each division qualify for Match Play.
Men’s Net Division: Handicaps Included.
Competitors will play from the Blue Tees. Competitors 60 and over may play from the Silver Tees. Competitors will play an 18-hole stroke play round to determine their seed for match play. The results of the qualifier will determine which flight a competitor will be in. Matches will be played utilizing each player’s handicaps.
The Net divisions will be limited to a maximum of eight players per flight. The total number of Net entries will determine the number of flights, and the results of the qualifier will decide which players advance to match play.
Handicaps:
Competitors must have 6 scores posted from the current season and the Low H.I. over the past 3 months will be used. The maximum Playing Handicap is 36. Tees are determined at the time of registration.
Dates:
Qualifier on Saturday, August 1st (Registration closes on Saturday, July 25th)
Round 1: Sunday, August 2nd
Round 2: Saturday, August 8th
Round 3: Sunday, August 9th
*Players that cannot commit to completing matches in the required time should not register for this tournament. Rain dates Saturday, August 15th and Sunday, August 16th*
Entry Fee: $100 per player
Entry fee includes golf for qualifier round. On course contest and lunch with non-alcoholic beverages following the qualifier round and awards for championship winners.
