Registration Information
This is an invitation by exemption only event. If you register without being invited you will be placed on a pending registration list until you gain exemption or if there are open spots 2 weeks out of the tournament start date, you MAY receive exemption. Anyone wishing to gain exemption outside of the invitation list will be required to send a golf resume with 36-hole stroke play tournament scores within the last 12 months to Junior Golf Director Alex Reiter at areiter@pgahq.com for consideration.
To participate in the National Junior PGA players must be eighteen (18) years of age or younger on the final day of the National Championship (July 31st, 2026)

Please be aware of this age restriction during your Junior PGA Qualifiers. A player who will become 19 years of age before the end of his or her respective National Championship will not be allowed to compete.
Residency Requirement - You must be a DC, MD, or VA resident of 6 months or more to play in the MAPGA Junior Championship. Any questions or exception requests, please email Junior Golf Director Alex Reiter at areiter@pgahq.com.
*Caddies* - Caddies are allowed but they must be 18 years or younger to be eligible.

Tee Times: Will start at 7:30 AM both days at both of the courses, both days final tee time will be at 1:30 PM
Tournament Information
Format: Individual Stroke Play, 36 holes
Location: Day 1 of the event will be played at Piedmont Club and day 2 of the event will be played at Dominion Valley CC
Divisions: Overall Boys & Overall Girls
Team Maryland Point Earning Event: Points are awarded to the top 10 overall finishers in the Boys and Girls divisions

Championship Boys - Gold/Blue Tees Approx. 6700 Yards
Championship Girls - White/Green Tees Approx. 5600 Yards
Dominion Valley Country Club
Championship Boys - Black Tees Approx. 6800 Yards
Championship Girls - Green/White Tees Approx. 5700 Yards
Rankings:
- JGS Rankings: Any division in which 5 or more competitors complete at least a 36-hole event are JGS ranked.
- AJGA Rankings:
- Boys: Champion - 4 Performance Stars, Top 20% - 2 Performance Stars, Top 50% - 1 Performance Star (40 or more in field)
- Girls: Champion - 4 Performance Stars, Top 20% - 1 Performance Star (less than 30 in field), Top 20% - 2 Performance Stars, Top 50% - 1 Performance Star (30 or more in field)
Driving Range: The range will be available for all players before play

The Piedmont Club
Practice rounds are available Tuesday through Thursday after 12:00 PM. Weekend practice rounds may also be available after 3:00 PM, subject to course availability.
The practice round fee is $30 for junior players under the age of 16. In accordance with club policy, juniors under 16 are not permitted to operate or ride in a golf cart unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian must be present if a golf cart is requested.
Spectators: Spectators will be permitted to walk the golf course. Spectator Carts are available but the course is limited to two (2) carts per group. Please be prepared to share a cart if needed with another parent. This will change from course to course so please pay attention to the day-before-tournament information emails to get the most up-to-date course policies.
Withdrawal Policy: In order to receive a full refund, players must withdraw before 12 noon, 7 days prior to the event and prior to tee times being posted. Withdrawing after this time will result in a loss of entry fee unless due to illness, injury or family emergency.
