2026 MAPGA Senior Championship
This is a Player of the Year Points Event for the Senior and Women's Categories

Eligibility: MAPGA Members (except A-3 and Inactive) and Associates in good standing who have reached the age of 50 as of August 24, 2026.

Entry Fee: Senior Championship ONLY - $240 per person. National Qualifier ONLY - $150. Senior Champ + National Qualifier - $390.
Start Times: Tee Times on Monday will start at 8:00 AM, and on Tuesday will start at 8:00 AM.
Senior Open of VA Qualifying: Starting in 2026, we will now conduct a qualifier for the Senior Open of VA, coinciding with the Senior Championship. The top 10 in Senior POY points from 2025, plus the Top 5 in the 2026 Senior POY (as of the deadline of the Senior Champ.) will be exempt.
Practice Rounds: Contact Keswick Pro-Shop.
Format: 36 holes of Individual Stroke Play, consisting of two 18 hole stipulated rounds.
Purse: Divisions for the purse will be broken down pro rata based on participation for 50-64 Men & Women and 65+ Men and Women. There must be at least 3 players per group to create one of these four divisions. If there are less than three in an age division, the senior(s) has the option to play in a younger age division or withdraw (no penalty, full refund).
Tees: There will be four sets of tees: 1) Men 50-64. 2) Men 65+ (set at approximately 93% of Men 50-64 tees). 3) Women 50-64. 4) Women 65+ (set at approximately 93% of Women 50-69).
Ties: A tie for first place will be resolved by a sudden-death playoff(s) after play is completed. All other ties will share prize money and Player of the Year Points.
Optional Contests: There will be an optional $100.00 Players Pool (30% of Players Pool entrants paid) and an optional $40 skins game. This $40 counts for skins in both rounds ($20 each round). There will be only one skins division. If there are no skins won, the money from the skins game will be donated to PGA HOPE.
Qualifier for National Senior PGA Professional Championship: NEW THIS YEAR. Players have the option to just play in the qualifier. If you just want to play in the Senior PPC Qualifier, please click on the option that says "Senior PPC Qualifier ONLY".
If players want to play in the Senior Championship and the qualifier, please choose the option that says " MAPGA Senior Championship + Senior PPC Qualifier".
This qualifier is completely optional ($150), and there is no prize money. There will be a total of 5 qualifying spots and 5 alternates. One of the spots is the Senior Champion. The National Championship will be held at Superstition Mountain G & CC on October 22nd-25th, 2026.
MAPGA Quarter Century Championship: MAPGA Members and Associates (except A-3 and Inactive) in good standing who have been a member of The PGA for a minimum of 25 years, as of August 18, 2026. Anyone eligible for the Quarter Century Championship (must be in the MAPGA Senior Championship) will automatically be put into the event. There is no fee for this. There will be a 50-64 division and a 65+ division for prize money. There will be a nominal purse for each division of $150 for 1st.
