Quail Lodge GC & Poppy Hills GC (Tour Championship)

December 8-9, 2018

 
REGISTRATION OPEN: Saturday November 17 at 4:00 P.M. (qualifying/invited players)

ENTRIES CLOSE: Sunday November 25 at 8:00 P.M. (for qualifying players); Players immediately outside the top-40 will be contacted for any unfilled spots beginning Monday, November 26.  
ENTRY FEES: $250; includes two rounds of golf with cart, range balls, prize fund, and a commemorative customized gift. Additionally, the fee covers a dinner immediately following Round 1 held at Baja Cantina Restaurant.

STARTING TIME: Round 1 Shotgun start beginning at 11:00 AM at Quail Lodge; Round 2 Tee times off the No. 1 tee will begin at 9:20 A.M. at Poppy Hills GC.

- Preferences will not be given, tee times will be assigned for this event with players paired in Round 1 based off the points list. Round 2 players will be paired with other players based off first round scores.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR: The top-40 players on the Weekend Net Tour Player of the Year points list after the playoff event at Silverado North Course on November 17 will be invited to this event. All 40 players competing in this event will have a mathematical chance at winning Player of the Year.  The top-4 players going into the event will control their own destiny as a win will secure the Player of the Year title.


By registering for this event, you are agreeing to take sole financial responsibility for any damages that you may cause. This includes, but is not limited to; damage to golf cart(s), the building facility, the course, or any bodily harm resulting in your actions. The NCGA, nor the facility, will be held liable for your personal actions. 

WEATHER: “Bad weather” (i.e. rain, wind) itself does not warrant cancelling this event. If inclement weather deems that the event be cancelled, all attempts will be made to reschedule. 
 
FORMAT: Individual Net

-Individuals will each play their own ball and finish out on each hole. Players with the lowest net totals in each flight will receive gift card money to the Golf Mart stores.

-No skins game will be offered for this event due to the limited field size.

-Players will receive 100% of their course handicap. This event will calculate a player’s course handicap using either the player’s December 1st handicap index, or the player’s Weekend Net Tour tournament index, whichever is the lower index. A player’s Weekend Net Tour tournament index will be calculated based on number of eligible scores (i.e. best 10 of 20, etc.).

 

RULES/TEES:

-USGA Rules of Golf apply during play.
- For this event, men will compete from one designated tee measuring between 5900-6400 yards, while women will compete from one designated tee measuring between 5000-5500. 
  
KEY NOTES: 
-Players MUST be an active NCGA member to participate. NCGA tournaments are open to amateur golfers who are members of a current NCGA member club in good standing.  The USGA’s definition of an amateur golfer is the standard of the NCGA.  Participants must meet all the eligibility requirements for the event they are entering. Any member who has not established a current numeric handicap index (CI) is ineligible to win prizes or skins. 

-You can register as an individual and you will play with other participants of similar ability. We will do the best we can to pair similarly skilled players together. If you have a specific request as to who to play with, please note it in registration.
-All events will require that participants display proper golf etiquette and behaviors. This would include no denim, no cut-off clothing, the removal of hats when inside facility buildings and no foul language. Players could be given further prohibitions as the club sees fit but those will be provided in the player e-mail. The NCGA does have the right to remove anyone for not abiding by these rules at any time. Being removed from property would result in the loss of all funds.

-The NCGA reserves the right to adjust any player’s handicap index for Weekend Net Tour events.
 
CANCELLATION POLICY: 
-The cancellation date is November 25th at 8:00 P.M. for the cancellation cost of $10. All cancellations need to be submitted by the player, online, through their registration account. Any cancellation after the deadline is subject to a loss of all funds, unless a replacement can be filled from the next player on the points list. If a replacement is found, a $40 cancellation cost will be applied.
