Fairway Legends Junior Golf Tour (FLJGT)
Terms & Conditions, Code of Conduct & Participation Waiver
By entering, attending, or participating in any Fairway Legends Junior Golf Tour (FLJGT) event, all players, parents, guardians, caddies, and spectators agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
These rules exist to ensure fair competition, safety, enjoyment, and respect for all players.
1. General Rules & Governance

All FLJGT events are played under the R&A Rules of Golf, including all local rules set out by the host venue and the FLJGT Tournament Committee.

No gimmies, mulligans, practice strokes, or unofficial concessions are permitted.

Scores must be recorded honestly and accurately.

The Tournament Committee’s decision is final on all matters relating to rules, scoring, conduct, and safety.
2. Player (Junior) Code of Conduct
All players are expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect at all times.
Players must:

Play the ball as it lies and hole out every putt.
-
Act with honesty, integrity, and respect for fellow competitors, officials, staff, and the golf course.

Wear appropriate golf attire at all times:
-
Golf shirt with collar or appropriate junior golf top
-
Golf trousers, shorts, or skort
-
Golf shoes or suitable trainers (no football boots)
-

Maintain pace of play and keep up with the group in front.
Zero Tolerance Policy
The following will not be tolerated:

Foul, abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate language
-
Club throwing or aggressive behaviour
-
Disrespect towards players, parents, officials, or staff
-
Cheating or deliberate breach of the Rules of Golf
Breaches may result in:
-
Warnings
-
Stroke penalties
-
Removal from the event
-
Disqualification (DQ)
-
Suspension from future FLJGT events
3. Caddies (Parents / Guardians / Supporters)
Caddying is permitted and encouraged, provided it is done in the correct spirit.
Caddy Guidelines

One caddy per player maximum
-
All caddies must wear an official FL caddy bib, available:

From the FL Help Desk at the event, or
-
Online prior to the event
-

Caddies must:
-
Allow juniors to play their own golf
-
Encourage independence, confidence, and decision-making
-
Support safety and ensure rules are followed
-
Help with course management only when appropriate
-

Caddies must not:
-
Over-coach
-
Argue with officials or other players
-
Influence scoring unfairly
-
Create pressure or tension within the group
-
FLJGT is about learning, development, friendships, and fun — caddies are there to support, not control.
4. Spectators
Spectators are welcome at all FLJGT events.
Spectator Rules

Must remain at least 50 yards away from players wherever possible
-
Must not interfere with play or distract players
-
Are encouraged to:

Assist with ball spotting
-
Inform FL Tour Operators of:
-
Slow play
-
Safety concerns
-
Unsporting behaviour
-

-
Must follow all instructions from FL staff and host venue officials
Failure to comply may result in removal from the course.
5. Pace of Play & Slow Play Policy
FLJGT operates a 3-Strike Slow Play Policy.
Strike System
-
First Strike – Verbal warning
-
Second Strike – Shot clock introduced
-
Third Strike – Stroke penalties or Disqualification (DQ)
How Players Can Avoid Slow Play
-
Play Ready Golf (when safe to do so)
-
Communicate clearly within the group
-
Prepare shots in advance
-
Walk with purpose between shots
-
Keep pace with the group in front
Important:
Slow play is deemed to occur when a group loses a clear hole on the group ahead — even if there is no group directly behind.
6. Safety

Safety is the top priority at all FLJGT events.

Players must:
-
Be aware of their surroundings
-
Shout “FORE” when necessary
-
Follow all course safety instructions
-

Parents, caddies, and spectators must help ensure a safe environment at all times.
FLJGT reserves the right to pause or modify play in the event of dangerous weather or unsafe conditions.
7. Photography & Media Consent

Photos and videos may be taken during FLJGT events.
-
By participating, players and parents/guardians grant permission for images and video to be used for:

Fairway Legends marketing
-
Website, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials
-
-
No financial compensation will be provided for media usage.
8. Liability & Waiver
-
Participation in golf involves inherent risks.
-
By entering an FLJGT event, parents/guardians acknowledge and accept these risks.

Fairway Legends, its staff, volunteers, partners, and host venues accept no liability for:

Injury
-
Loss or damage to personal property
-
Accidents occurring during events, practice, or travel
-
All participants take part at their own risk.
9. Disciplinary Action
The FLJGT Tournament Committee reserves the right to:

Enforce penalties
-
Remove players, caddies, or spectators from an event
-
Refuse entry to future events for repeated or serious breaches
10. Acceptance of Terms
By entering an FLJGT event, booking a season ticket, or attending as a player, parent, caddy, or spectator, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
