Another close finish saw our U18s come close to victory against S&H.
Our latest league match of the season saw us take on S&H at Dudley GC.
In the morning foursomes, the Worcs pairings were up against a formidable looking S&H team, with S&H taking a 4-0 lead early on, but the Worcs pairings dug deep and with 1up wins for the pairings of Harry Evans & Freddie Willson and Nick Campbell & Oliver Meyer, Worcs went into lunch at 2-2.
In the afternoon singles Worcs started fast with wins for Harry Fall (4&2) and Harry Evans (1up) Then Jake Jeff-Johnston going from dormy 3 down to half his match, this put Worcs firmly in control of the match, however, the S&H middle order fought back strongly winning the next 4 matches. Freddie Willson rounded off the matches by claiming his point (4&3), but S&H ran out victors by 6.5 points to 5.5 points.
It was a great spirited performance from the Worcs team who never gave up until the final putt was holed. We go again against Derbys in our next match on 12th July.
