Worcestershire U14 v Warwickshire U14

The U14’s travelled to Atherstone golf course to play Warwickshire on Sunday 7th June. The course had many challenging holes with blind tee shots and small greens. All good experience for this young squad of players. The first group saw a good win for Oskar Nielsen and Will Hadley. Both looked on top of their game and were playing some excellent golf. Up next was Harry Bird and Edward Perry. The boys dovetailed really well and it was left to Harry to hole a clutch putt on the 16th green to secure a 3&2 win. There was also strong wins for Kai Russell and Max Gabbitas and Jensen Chan and Jack Penny. Charlie Howden finished birdie, birdie to secure a 3&2 win for himself and Toby Hughes. Overall Worcestershire won 5-1 to continue an excellent start to the season for this talented U14 squad.

 

 

The boys should be very proud of this result and their efforts on the day. My thanks go to Atherstone golf club for all the hospitality and producing a course in fine condition. I would also like to thank David Bell for his excellent organisation on the day. Finally, thanks go to my assistant Roger Martin whose knowledge and experience on the day was invaluable.
