Respect in Sport Training - Mandatory 

Golf Canada has a fundamental obligation and responsibility to protect the health, safety, and physical and mental well-being of athletes, staff, volunteers and other participants involved in its activities.  As the National Sport Organization for golf, Golf Canada plays a leadership role in promoting this safe sport environment across the golf landscape in Canada.  Golf Canada will be mandating that parents of players competing in Golf Canada competitions must complete the Respect in Sport training. Click here for instructions

REFUND POLICY & NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL 

Entry fees will be partially refunded if the Golf Canada Tournament Director is notified of the player’s intention to withdraw before the final registration deadline (Rogan Doyle; rdoyle@golfcanada.ca; 1-800-263-0009 ext. 208).  

Once a player is accepted into the championship, the $300 entry fee will be processed, and the player is expected to participate.  If a player wishes to withdraw prior to the start of the championship, please notify Golf Canada well in advance to ensure a waitlisted player has a fair opportunity to participate.  Failure to comply may result in DISQUALIFICATION from future Golf Canada competitions. 

The schedule below outlines the refund policy for accepted players:

*Once a player is accepted into a championship, they will receive an acceptance email. If a player wishes to withdraw, they must do so within 72 hours of acceptance, otherwise they are subject to incur a $25 admin fee.
**Entry fees are non-refundable after the final registration deadline without a doctor’s note or medical certificate.  All refunds are subject to a $50 administrative fee after the early entry deadline.  

Note: If the final registration deadline is extended, the refund policy applies to the original deadline.

Golf Canada Membership

In order to apply to compete in Golf Canada competition, players must be a Golf Canada member through a member golf club or the Public Player program, and have an up-to-date Golf Canada Handicap Index visible on the Golf Canada Score Centre at the time of online registration.  If you do not have a Golf Canada membership you can JOIN NOW. 

Health and Safety Protocols

Golf Canada will follow the applicable local and provincial health guidelines. 

It is the player's responsibility to be aware of the current travel restrictions to the province/region they are travelling to.  Canada's various provincial travel guidelines can be found here: https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/provinces.

Accessibility Accommodations

Golf Canada is committed to providing accessible competition experiences that are in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (‘AODA’).  If you require accommodation during any stage of the competition, please notify Adam Cinel at acinel@golfcanada.ca by the registration deadline.

Formation sur le Respect en Sport - Obligatoire

POLITIQUE DE REMBOURSEMENT ET AVIS DE RETRAIT
Les frais d’inscription seront partiellement remboursés si le directeur de tournoi de Golf Canada est avisé de l’intention du joueur ou de la joueuse de se retirer avant la date limite des préinscriptions (Rogan Doyle; rdoyle@golfcanada.ca; 1-800-263-0009 ext. 208).   

Une fois que les joueurs et les joueuses sont accepté(e)s pour un championnat, leurs frais d’inscription sont encaissés et l’on s’attend à ce qu’ils et elles participent au tournoi. Si un joueur ou une joueuse souhaite se retirer avant le début d’un championnat, il ou elle doit en aviser Golf Canada bien à l’avance afin de donner une chance équitable à un remplaçant ou une remplaçante en attente de jouer. À défaut de respecter cette obligation, le joueur ou la joueuse s’expose à une DISQUALIFICATION des futures compétitions de Golf Canada.

Le calendrier ci-dessous décrit la politique de remboursement pour les participants acceptés :

*Lorsqu’un participant ou une participante est accepté(e) à un championnat, il ou elle reçoit un courriel d’acceptation. Si un joueur ou une joueuse souhaite se retirer, il ou elle doit le faire dans les 72 heures suivant son acceptation, à défaut de quoi il ou elle s’expose à des frais d’administration de 25 $.
**Les frais d’inscription ne seront pas remboursés après la date limite d’inscription finale sans présentation d’une note de médecin ou d’un certificat médical. Tous les remboursements sont soumis à des frais d’administration de 50 $ après l’échéance des préinscriptions.
Remarque : Si l’échéance des inscriptions finales est prolongée, la politique de remboursement s’applique à l’échéance initiale.

Membre de Golf Canada

Pour pouvoir participer aux compétitions de Golf Canada, les athlètes doivent être membres de Golf Canada par l'intermédiaire d'un club de golf membre ou du programme de Joueur public et avoir, au moment de l'inscription en ligne, un index de handicap de Golf Canada à jour et visible dans le Centre de scores de Golf Canada.  Si vous n'êtes pas membre de Golf Canada, vous pouvez y ADHÉRER DÈS MAINTENANT.

Protocoles de santé et de sécurité

Golf Canada suivra les directives de santé locales et provinciales en vigueur.

Il incombe à l’athlète de connaître les restrictions de voyage en vigueur dans la province/région visitée.  Les différentes directives provinciales du Canada en matière de voyages peuvent être consultées ici.  

Les athlètes internationaux doivent s’informer des directives de voyage en vigueur au Canada, qui peuvent être consultées ici.

Hébergement accessibilité

Golf Canada s'engage à offrir des expériences de compétition accessibles et conformes à la Loi sur l'accessibilité pour les personnes handicapées de l'Ontario (LAPHO).  Si vous avez besoin de mesures d'adaptation à n'importe quelle étape de la compétition, veuillez en informer Adam Cinel à acinel@golfcanada.ca.
