Meadows Women’s Golf Association 9-Hole League


 

  1. Any questions concerning proper scoring should be addressed at the hole in question. If unresolved, circle the hole on the scorecard and do not sign it. Submit the card to a Rules Committee member.
  2. The first day of the Championship and Handicap Tournaments will use course handicap for flight placement. Flights tee off in order: A, B, then C. On the second day, leaders of each flight play together. Ties for overall champion require same-day sudden death playoff. Flight ties are determined using a scorecard playoff by hole difficulty (12, 18, 14, etc.).
  3. Eligibility for tournaments:
    • Ringer: 3 play days including Orientation
    • Handicap/Championship: Must have played at least 50% of play days
    • Must have GHIN-listed handicap
    • New members may qualify with 50% attendance and Board approval
  4. All tournament days must be played to qualify for prizes.
  5. The Orientation Meeting counts toward season attendance.
  6. Membership dues are non-refundable after the first play day.
  7. Associate Members:
    • GHIN maintained
    • Get tee times if space allows after Regular Members
    • Not eligible for prizes or major tournament play
  8. Rule violations require two written complaints. Probation means ineligibility for prizes for the season.
  9. Slow play: Stay with group ahead. Pick up ball if max ESC is reached. Starter tracks start/finish.
  10. Three or more tournaments per season:
    • Ringer – Best score on each hole (2 days)
    • Handicap – Lowest net score (2 days)
    • Championship – Gross score for overall champion
  11. End-of-year awards for:
    • Season Ringer
    • Most Improved
    • Pars/Birdies
    • Low Putts
    • Perfect Attendance
    Must have 50% attendance and a handicap.
  12. All play days require signed, attested scorecards. Incomplete cards may lead to disqualification. Use full names and follow sample on website.
  13. Check the website for weather updates on play days.
  14. For tournaments, if cancelled due to weather, they are rescheduled to the following Tuesday.
  15. Play day prizes are Pro Shop credits, redeemable by October 31 of the current year.
  16. After two no-shows without canceling, a third results in a $10 fine.
  17. Dues for the President and Handicap/Awards Chair are covered annually by the Association.
