FIELD LIMIT
Field will consist of 96 qualified boys’ entrants and 48 qualified girls’ entrants. Entries were accepted according to the time of receipt of entry and entry fee in addition to exempt players and Presidential Invitees. The PNGA reserves the right to modify either field limit to achieve a full field of 144 players.
ENTRY DEADLINE
Entry applications, along with the appropriate fee, must be completed or received by the PNGA by
12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026.
REFUND POLICY
Refunds due to cancellation before the close of entry are subject to a $10 service charge. After the close of entry and up until round one pairings are released, players who withdraw for any reason will be refunded 50% of the entry fee. No refund for any reason will be issued after round one parings have been released.
COURSE YARDAGE
Course yardage is subject to change based on weather/course conditions. Hole-by-hole yardages are posted on the championship portals and will be emailed to players.

ONSITE REGISTRATION
All contestants must register in person with the PNGA at Vandal Golf Course prior to starting round one play. Registration will be located inside the dining area during the following times.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 9 from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
MONDAY, AUGUST 1- from 6:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS
Stroke play starting times for Round 1 & 2 will be posted on the championships portal and emailed to players on Monday, August 3. Preferred starting times and pairing requests will not be accepted.
SCHEDULE
STROKE PLAY: 36-hole stroke play to determine the 32 boys’ and 16 girls’ qualifiers for match play. A tie for the last qualifier’s place will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole play-off after the final group finishes on Tuesday, August 11.

MATCH PLAY: A draw based on qualifying scores will be used. Ties in qualifying rounds will be decided by a blind draw, except that places of those participating in a play-off will be determined by performance in the play-off.

PRACTICE ROUND
All contestants may play one complimentary practice round prior to the championship.
Local Contestants: Local contestants can play their practice round in the two weeks prior to the championship. Players can begin calling to reserve a time starting on July 21st on a space available basis on weekday afternoons, as determined by the golf shop, and can be made by calling the pro shop at (208) 885-6171. All starting times are at the discretion of the Vandal golf shop staff. If players want to rent a golf cart for their practice round, they may, but golf carts are limited.
Out-of-Town Contestants: Practice rounds will be available on Sunday, August 9th, throughout the day for out-of-town contestants. Players are encouraged to call and book their practice rounds for Sunday, the 9th, between July 21st and 28th, and can be made by calling the pro shop at (208) 885-6171. If players want to rent a golf cart for their practice round, they may, but golf carts are limited.
PRACTICE RANGE
The practice range will be open with hosted warm-up balls from 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The range will close early on Monday, August 10th. Players will need to check in with the golf shop after 2:30 p.m. for additional practice. The range is irons only.
FOOD SERVICE (NO-HOST)
The Lookout restaurant will be open for food service each day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day.
HOSTED LUNCH
The PNGA will host a catered lunch for players on Tuesday, August 11, beginning at 11:30 am – 4:00 p.m. The buffet includes a limited menu of a variety of options for players. Players with an afternoon starting time are encouraged to eat prior to their round.
BOTTLED WATER
The PNGA will provide bottled water during the championship. Coolers will be at multiple locations on the golf course.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
All major credit cards, cash, and Apple Pay.
HOURS OF OPERATION
The golf shop will be open from 6:00 a.m. to dusk each day.
LOCKER ROOM
Vandal Golf Course does not have a clubhouse or locker room. Bathrooms are available in the clubhouse.
GOLF CARTS
The Local Rule prohibiting the use of motorized transportation for competitors as prescribed in Section 8 of the Committee Procedures is in effect.
SPECTATOR CARTS
To provide an equal championship platform for all competitors, the use of carts by spectators is not permitted by the PNGA.
CHAMPIONSHIP ACCOMMODATIONS FOR DISABLED SPECTATORS
The PNGA is committed to providing an enjoyable spectator experience for people with disabilities at PNGA championships. Requests from spectators seeking transportation onto the golf course due to a permanent disability, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), should be submitted one week in advance to the PNGA Championship Department. While spectator carts may not always be available at each site, the PNGA will make every effort to accommodate these requests when available.
Generally, an ADA covered disability is defined as a “physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of the major life activities of the individual”. See, 42 USCA §12102. Spectators with a “temporary” injury or impairment that is not an ADA disability will not be allowed use of a golf cart under this Policy.

PULL CARTS
Pull carts are permitted. Host club pull carts are not available. Players may provide their own pull cart.
CADDIES
Caddies are permitted, but host club caddies will not be available. EXCEPTION: A player's caddie must not have reached their nineteenth birthday on the day in which they caddie.
GALLERY
Galleries are permitted during the championship and may include parents and other relatives, golf professionals, etc. of a contestant. Contestants will ultimately be held responsible for the actions of gallery members.
Galleries must keep their distance from contestants at all times during a stipulated round of at least 25 yards and walking in the rough is recommended so as not to interfere with play. Coaching, intimidation or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Those violating this condition will immediately be asked to leave the golf course and may be refused gallery privileges and may also subject the player to being disqualified.
PRIZES
A) Stroke Play – A crystal medallion will be awarded to the lowest qualifying scorer. In the event of a tie for Medalist honors, a duplicate medal will be awarded.
B) Match Play – Crystal awards will be awarded to the champion, runner-up, semifinalists and quarterfinalists (boys championship only). The champions’ names will be engraved on the respective perpetual trophies.
C) Hole-In-One and Eagle Awards – Awards will be given to any contestant who scores a hole-in-one during either the stroke or match play portion of the championship. Awards for eagles will be presented to any contestant who scores an eagle during the 36-hole stroke play qualifying.

AWARDS CEREMONY
A brief awards presentation ceremony will take place immediately following the final matches on Friday, August 14 at approximately 4:30 p.m.
EXEMPTIONS *
The 2026 PNGA Junior Boys’ and Girls’ Amateur Champions will receive an exemption into the 2027 championship.
The 2026 PNGA Girls’ Amateur Champion will receive an exemption into the 2026 US Girls’ Junior Amateur Championship at Old Chatham Golf Club in Durham, North Carolina.
*Players must still meet the age requirements of the championships to receive an exemption.
GHIN SCORE POSTING
The PNGA will post stroke play competition scores for all players to the USGA GHIN System. Players are responsible for posting their match play scores.
DRESS CODE
Players and caddies must be neat in appearance with respect to personal grooming and clothing while on host club property. The PNGA Dress Code Policy is available at the following link: thepnga.org/championship-home/championship-policies/ and will be provided to all players, along with any additional measures required by the host club, in the Player Memorandum.
CODE OF CONDUCT
The PNGA expects all contestants, caddies, gallery, and guests to exhibit proper conduct and behavior on the golf course and anywhere on club property during a PNGA championship. Unbecoming conduct or behavior may be grounds for immediate disqualification, at any time, from any PNGA event. The following are some examples of unbecoming conduct or behavior:
- Repeated use of loud, abusive, and/or profane language
- Throwing and/or breaking equipment (club, ball, etc.) in anger or frustration
- Damaging host club, PNGA, and/or fellow contestant property
- Public criticism or verbal abuse of host club, officials, volunteers or staff, and/or PNGA volunteers, staff or fellow contestants
- Potential endangerment of others
- Intentionally violating stated club policy
- Violation of PNGA Dress Code and/or Footwear Policy
- Other conduct deemed unbecoming
The Committee in charge of the competition shall be the sole judge of determining Conduct Code violations.
UNOFFICIAL WITHDRAWAL
During play of the championship, a competitor who withdraws must notify PNGA staff and fill out a withdraw form. Entrants who unofficially withdraw (by not notifying PNGA staff or without having sufficient reason to withdraw) will not be granted entry into any future PNGA championship for a minimum of two years.
PACE OF PLAY POLICY
Players are encouraged to be familiar with the PNGA’s Stroke Play Pace of Play Policy and the PNGA’s Match Play Pace of Play Policy, which are in effect for this championship.
LOCAL RULES AND TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
Players are encouraged to be familiar with the PNGA’s 2026 Local Rules and Terms of the Competition, which will be in effect at all championships.
PROHIBITED USE OF AUDIO EQUIPMENT
Rule 4.3 is modified in this way: During a round, a player is not allowed to use an electronic device to listen to music or other audio (such as podcasts or the like), including by using speakers, headphones or earbuds. Penalty for breach of Local Rule - see Rule 4.3.
