2026 NSW AMBROSE

 

 

The NSW Ambrose is a new, inclusive team competition introduced by Golf NSW, replacing the Keno Ambrose and creating a direct pathway to the Ford NSW Open. Designed to be affordable, flexible, and fun, the NSW Ambrose is open to golfers of all abilities and encourages participation across clubs and regions throughout the state.

 

Played as a 2‑Person Ambrose over 9 holes, the competition allows players to qualify at any participating venue between March and October, with the freedom to play with a partner from the same or a different club. With a low entry fee and simple format, the NSW Ambrose is ideal for social golfers looking for a competitive but relaxed experience.

The top 12 pairs statewide in each category — Men, Women and Mixed — will earn a place in the NSW Ambrose Final, held on Wednesday afternoon during the Ford NSW Open. Finalists will enjoy a unique experience, playing alongside a NSW Open entrant, followed by a presentation function and player gift pack. Each winning pair will be rewarded with a Stay and Play package at a premium golf venue in NSW.

 

The NSW Ambrose strengthens the connection between community golf and elite competition, while providing clubs with an easy‑to‑run event that drives engagement and participation throughout the year.
